Just a token swap with new chain and it is ready to go. So the problem only ethereum's own.

There are indeed many other promising projects coming with similar feature, providing supports for tokens, indeed.

Can they just put everything on another blockchain?

Ah thanks for this clarification. Was already wondering how this 200k are made of with just 5,000 downloads so far. Well but 5,000 downloads is a nice start especially if you consider that the project is still in development. Is there just a mobile app or also a browser based platform?

I also think have a decentralized social network is really a need at the moment. So much people use social network and none of them is decentralized and respect the data of users. Sphere will change that in the future !
