The Dev should post the database online for download. It will keep people happy until a fix for the bloat occurs.

Here is the database (blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat) synced till 2015-02-27: http://p.pw/baeysL (~1.6Gb zip)
Hope it will help especially new users to quickly sync the wallet. Because now it takes forever to sync the wallet from zero...

Wow, those are some hefty donations!  I will update from work tomorrow and donate as well.

A new (proper) game would be great and as I've said before, I think the name Jackpot is unique and keeps the coin in it's proper niche.  If done right, it could be the go to currency for online games/gambling.  It was/is huge in Korea(think gambling is still illegal there?) and the name really helped with that.

I am re-syncing my wallet now...
Once it is done, I will send my donation soon.

I hope the new dev review the previous 1.6 alpha code by mkimid (the previous dev), and find a better way to handle the bloating issue.
I think at least jpc needs to upgrade level db very soon.

The new client works well once it syncs. Until then it sucks the life out of even the best of computers. I opened version 1.4 and synced with that. Then I opened 1.6 and it is working. The Dev should post the database online for download. It will keep people happy until a fix for the bloat occurs.

+1

And thanks dev for the update, but we are staying with v1.4.1

...and where is built in digital roulette wheel, Satoshi Nakamoto spoke about?  Grin

Thanks! For your information, the dev has already been paid for his work, and with BTC, not JPC. I don't touch these coins until a new release.

Hey!

Are you looking for a multipool?

Then head over to my thread for more info!
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/multipool-service-10-a-month-update-932225

PM me or reply on my thread, will NOT be looking here again.
multipools and renting hash are the destroyer of all coins....think about it.

guys, thx for the new version, but it seems even more demanding than the 1.5.
it gives my 4 core CPU like 37% workload which peaks to 50% time to time.
that means it is using one thread/core on 100% permanently and second thread/core on 50% on average.
seems like the wallet is mining with one CPU even with the generate=0.
imho you should have fixed this before adding new features.

Confirm the same even with empty wallet.dat Sad

Same. The last wallet that worked properly was 1.4. I suggest that everyone use that. To the Dev team, this new release did not address the underlying issue that the qt is bloatware. Whatever changed in 1.5 from 1.4 remains in 1.6. Polishing up an old turd is still a turd no matter how shiny it is. Much disappointment.
