Do you know "where" the 5% are taken from ?  The more I stack the more i should return interest right ?

They are new coins, generated not taken from anywhere. The more you stack the more coins you will receive though the rate remains the same.  To get slightly more than the 5% redeem your interest often to take advantage of cumulative compounding.

Is this the process of "staking" or "minting"? does Komodo use PoS?

It's a innovation of Komodo. You gain these rewards all the time, and it doesn't create blockchain bloat.

Komodo is PoW (equihash), and it has dPoW consensus built on top of it.

Thanks for info...does it mean these rewards come from the same pool of 200M KMD? Is it a percent of amount of KMD we keep in the wallet?

Yes, the reward will last until we reach the 200M supply cap (in about 14 years).

I have been waiting for over a month now to be able to swap my BTCD coins for KMD... the swap instructions seemed to have vanished from the site

I'm getting nervous that I won't be able to swap. Does anyone know if the devs abandoned this or if I can do this now?

As I see it, nothing has been abandoned. As previously stated by JL777, you will be able to swap until January 2018. Relax and give em time...

Yes, the ICO site will be back online as soon as we are able to fix the underlying problems.

In addition to the initial problem we found some security issues that we need to fix.

We are dealing with people's money here, and thus we decided to go the secure route and the process is very slow as a few people have to check all the changes.

Hey Guys,

the ICO site is down. I just checked back for the first time after a longer while. How can I get my KMD, which I bought at the ICO?

Thanks for the help!

They are still fixing the site so your KMD is not lost.

If you have already withdrawn the KMD to your address then the KMD is already available with your seed.

I am waiting for a big dump so that I can easily collect more komodo for the future profit. I have the strong feeling that Komodo will be listed in the top 10 strongest coins in the cryptoworld. Komodo has a good dev team. Hope that the price will decrease to 0.004 so that it can increase once again. Big storm is coming to the crypto world

The recent dip was a nice gift. I picked up a few BTC worth over the weekend, but was hoping to get even more cheaper. The KMD price has bounced back impressively. I look forward to a strong future with KMD.

You know what is really cool about Komodo, the interest and be able to compound it . Even if you send KMD to yourself  daily it does increase your total but with fee that might mitigate the earned interest.

Right now in the Agama wallet, there is no fee I see to send coins. I send myself .001 KMD every once in awhile with a 0 fee entered to collect the interest.

could you please explain to me in one sentence why it is not a smart move of mine that I have not bought any KMD until now? Should I change this and if so why?

Is there another coin that has a multi coin wallet, inbuild coin mixer, decentralised exchange, atomic swaps, trading bots, 5% APR interest on your balance, anonomous transactions, free bonus dividend generating air drop arriving shortly?

Well said, however some of these feautures will be there soon, not yet finished.
Coin mixer is almost done [jumbler?]
Atomic swaps working only gui missing [so still in progress]
Decenralized exchange also in progress, but possibly it's very close.

I have my Komodo in Ledger wallet. in the article it says it needs to be in Agama wallet . Is Ledger also ok? Dont want to move komodo because of the blockreward

You collect the 5% annual reward in the Agama wallet.

I think i read it will soon be available for ledger too, so i am gambling it will be within the next 8 months. SO holding!

KMD is already on Leger.
