The Litecoin owner Charlie Lee  says in twiter that, Litecoin Cash is a scam!  So, tell me, what kind of idiot you have to be, buying it or investing money mining it?   Grin

How the hell listed price at youbit is 5-6$ , when there are no real buyers and sellers? Me too have litecoin cash, i can give it to you with 50% discount! Want to buy?  Grin

Crypto is by nature permissionless. the value derives from the support that the communitty is willing to give to it.

Litecoin Cash have issues with wallets, issues with network and no open deposits at yobit or anywhere. Dev was very active here till date of fork, then no word from him last 6 days. So , 0% trust for coin, 0% support.

fair enough point... we'll have to wait it out and see.

there is already quite a bit of hashpower allocated to mining LCC, and there are a number of single miners putting in close to 10 PHs. they either know something we don't, or they are gamblers with very deep pockets....

They all think will be big free bump in price, because of the LitePay lounching at 26/02. But the reality is LCC killing LTC price righ now and because of that, LCC is enemy. I want deposit at exchangers to be open right now and end of story  Grin  (not shit exchangers, real ones , where bad coins got suspended)

You really think LTC is going down because of LCC. Everything went down these last few days... Market cap went down over $70 Billion all together.

Hello,
Can anyone help?

I have exported my Litecoin private keys from Exodus wallet, which had 1.3 LTC at time of fork.
On the list of exported private keys there was one wallet with 0.5 LTC (Lh9Wd7doD2x2kUehGYXCEGE6qmgH2jwovM) and another with 0.8 LTC (LeizYWgCuYfr6K9c7AksgKcsatvvU7sGZJ) on it

After download LitecoinCash wallet.
Import private key from my Exodus Litecoin wallet with 0.5 LTC and succefully received 5 LCC
Then I import another private key with 0.8 LTC on it and receive nothing.
Tried again, says "private key already imported" but balance is not updated. Tried many times to restart the program, etc... nothing

On LCC blockchain it shows 8 LCC on that adress but I couldn't see it on my LCC wallet
https://explorer.litecoinca.sh/address/LeizYWgCuYfr6K9c7AksgKcsatvvU7sGZJ

What I'm doing wrong?

Charlie Lee is not the owner of Litecoin.

Bitcoin Core people also call Bitcoin Cash a scam.. 'scam' is a word very lightely used in the crypto world. as soon as someone opposes sometthing, it is quickly labeled 'scam'. Bitcoin Cash being a scam or not (i do not like it), it still has its own use, its community, its blockchain, its value...

Crypto is by nature permissionless. the value derives from the support that the communitty is willing to give to it.

I believe in this coin and would happy to buy all available supply at $1

Also, this is trading at almost $6 on CryptoBridge so I don't know what people are talking about as far as being able to buy it for $1 over there. It's $5.865 USD.

Actually, i can't even find it over there.

wallet.crypto-bridge.org/market/BRIDGE.LCC_BRIDGE.BTC
It has been traded for about 1$ since yesterday.

No - I want to sell at yobit prices..... Grin

OPEN WALLETS YOBIT PLEASE!

Hi,

Just to confirm i imported all private keys to the LCC core app (and yes moved my LTC to new wallet first) Sent the LCC to the meanXtrade exchange, sold for LTC and got the LTC out to my own wallet. Just to confirm it could be done.
Took a few more days than I’d hoped due to meanXchange only allowing withdrawals during “live time” whatever that means.

Thanks  Smiley

One other note,

I have come to believe that when a coin is truly backed by the community, it matters little whether the original devs continue to support it in a major way. Not to say that these devs won't support it as I have no reason to believe that and IMO more reason to believe they will support the coin going forward - there shouldn't be a TON of work that needs to be done anyway.

Take a look at PacCoin for instance. The coins were given out free to very early members of Cryptopia and I happened to be able to collect a bunch of them over the years through trading bonuses. The original dev. clearly was just having fun and/or trying to make some money by creating one of the first cryptocurrencies to attempt to deal with BTCs blocktime and fee issues. Later abandoned by the original dev, the coin was picked up by the community and relaunched in a major way. We'll find out soon how successful it can truly be once the exchange offering goes live but I still have confidence in it given the amount of work that's been done by the new devs.

The only thing(s) more I would like to see from the LCC devs is a whitepaper/roadmap & Q&A video, with semi-regular twitter updates. They have done a decent job pre-launch, IMO besides not having a whitepaper. I know most are skeptical of that sentiment, but it's just how I feel about it.

For those still calling this a scam and that haven't seen this quote:

“We're using the Litecoin Cash name simply because it has become customary in recent months for a coin which forks a blockchain to prefix its name with the name of the coin being forked. This practice has become a widely understood convention. We're not associated or affiliated with Charlie Lee or any of the Litecoin team in any way; we are big fans though.”

P.S. I believe it's the Bitcoin Core wallet that sets off antivirus', probably an older forked version that was modified but never updated for the fix (if there even exists one, I haven't looked ...)
And I'll put this here since you seem to want to cheerlead for some reason.

Explain if it is not a scam just taking the name?

- It's become customary in recent months that when a blockchain is hardforked, the new coin takes the name of the old as a prefix.

We're not saying it's a great convention, but it's instantly understood by people as "oh it's a Litecoin hard fork".
No. It's generally understood that a coin is co-opting the name for other reasons such as to mislead people and try and gain a level of "respectability" they have not earned. Last time there was a lot of this sort of thing if was "Dark" stuff. i.e. BitcoinDark, LitecoinDark, DogeDark, DarkDoge and so on and so forth. So those that have been around awhile, do not view any coin using another's name in a favorable light.

The fact that this first release of the windows Litecoin Cash wallet make Avast antivirus rise a red flag is not very professional.

All wallets do that buddy. That is, set off antivirus. Has absolutely nothing to do with LCC.

Absolutely not. I have had to add no exception for the Litecoin and Bitcoin core wallets.
You must be new to all this. Here's just one example of litecoin having this issue in the past.. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/is-litecoin-core-01040-infected-with-a-virus-1586507

bitcion has also had this problem at times.

A lot of coins (including versions of litecoin), have had antivirus programs flag them. The people then in charge of those programs submit a review request to the antivirus companies and those companies put in an exclusion for them if there's really nothing bad in them. I ran virustotal on the downloadable exe and it only had 1 thing flagged out of 66 and it was that stupid baidu thing which seems to flag almost everything. There are reputable coins out there that still get flagged as a virus by some programs.
