So.. a lot of postings to initiate panicsells....
You have to ask yourself....   if people want to push the price to buy big for little....   what they can do with the prize once they have enough volume. The same people that push the prize down, will also push it up when they have enough to make a shitload of money.

Decided to take advantage of dumps and get couple more BTC worth of Leafs throughout the day, 22 is low I think, and I got most of my wallet at ~10 and through mining anyway so it's a win-win anyway.

Probably won't hit 10 unless the whales dump real hard, but 11 to 13 are definite possibilities.

200 to 300 sat?! What are you basing those figures off of?

Also, the market right now is nothing like the wild wild west. Those days were back in November and December, when people were doing pumps on BTC-e. Today, it's much more like early days of stock trading, where there was still little to no regulation, but everyone became smart enough to keep each others in check. This is much more like the Chicago mafia scene of the Prohibition Era.

If you look at the order depth on either CoinedUp or for CoinMarket.io, it's very clear that LEAF is going to have a steep decline before it even can start thinking about the 40s and 50s. Anyone buying at 20s, will just be looking to play that 25% game up until 24-25 and then sell out, only to buy back in at 20 again. This coin is going absolutely nowhere until miners dump the billions of coins that they're stock piling, which judging buy the depth of buys, won't happen for quite a while. Lots of price manipulation on coinmarket.io by miners, trying to boost the price, but you can see by the increase of sell depth that miners are getting restless and beginning to dump.

The price will get much lower in the short term, at least to the mid-high teens over the next week or so, but eventually will have to crash before the coin can reach any of the higher price tiers.

I am waiting on 15.

This is this moment when many people doubt in coin (i mean fresh few days coin) and then dump, another buy couse they see the great opportunity or just have "wtf who cares" mood. After that like every coin with such a volume support it will go to 200-300 sat at least. Sure I understand that it seems like a high risk to buy now, but this is our nowadays wild wild west. You have to have grande cojones to invest in such a new coin : ) People did it for usde, noble, etc. they bought in for 20-30 sat or even lower. Are you scared now? Good couse it is risky business.

Yep, that was me. And I've daytraded with it so I've bought an extra 5k KDC and still have my LEAF.
And ye I bought under 10k SAT. I could sell my LEAF now and buy another 10k~~ if I want. But I'll wait, I need to withdraw some BTC anyway and everything I put in KDC I wont sell.

KDC is the coin that will explode and not go down again, LEAF you can daytrade with.

Plus, the block reward was halved today so the price will probably go up in a day or so. Atm the whales are dumping the price and buying more.

How can you estimate that it will be 10x ?
Leaf ... whatever culture the man belongs to  , he or she knows what leaf is. And in other words , the name of leafcoin makes it easy to explode , as we are seeing now.

But Klondike... how many people know what it is ?

I think it is difficult to introduce the coin and to make it be famous.

So, i do not think it will be 10x.

40 is a little iffy at the moment to much sell pressure.. but its still a good investment.
The current prices are pretty much the lowest stable prices that will exist as block rewards half every 10 days or so..

Which means we will all likely be having this discussion in another 10 days when block is halving and price will need to bump to adjust for the scarcity..
Personally i would suggest 1 month as a good period for holding a coin. As in.. Buy/mine now.. at whatever block reward and then sell when the month is up as block rewards would have halved about 3 times by then.

Not really.. you would need to wait for those with the 26btc buy order to move before your order would get processed.. if they decide to be dicks and move up to 23.. then ur order will never get filled. at this point of time.. due to block halving we are undervalued..

note that i have specified this in the op post... completely at the top.

anyways.

now it is too late, but here is your fix:

just do a full sync.

backup your wallet ( do a nice export using file menu )

close the wallet

backup %appdata%\leafcoin\wallet.dat

now remove the rest of the data directory ( %appdata%\leafcoin\ ), except wallet.dat

start new version of wallet.

let it sync.

this is the full method, that should work.

yes will take some time to resync.

we have a stable network, so should go quite fast ( < 1hr )

Where did the fork happen? I missed this D:

If you were on the old wallet after the fork (many warnings were given), then you are now on the wrong chain.  You may also need to delete your block index and databases then resync to the correct chain.

Anybody has any idea what happens here? it was working perfectly until now, and then without any warning, this is what happened (upgrading the wallet doesn't work)...
