Hi goldeneye,
Sources are coming, i am polishing the android light client Smiley. Note that this is a DAPP light client, not a LISK light client. Hence the security issue.
1. Yes, for security, so far the passphrase is stored inside the client and then each time a transaction is made, it is sent to the API. This is a known limitation of LISK so far and we are already working to come up with a solution with the LISK team. This is not trivial.
2. Yes, but as a start this is enough.

I'm curious  Smiley

Good job guys Tongue

Wow looks great! Is it for free use? If so, could you please provide a vector version (preferably svg format), so I could use if for a blog post about Lisk.

well, but they pay probably 10k$ for a new logo design.

not sure, if yours is better *duckandhide*

@ LiskHq
A question:

For enabling our coins to "pay dapps" in April, will there be a redeem page made by Lisk? When we are in the future, i can just open my webwallet and redeem it there, right? Correct me someone please.

who is Lisk's CFO?

...and this is the Lisk Presale Purchase Agreement;

https://ico.lisk.io/presale.pdf

this is an agreement in which jurisdiction and governed by which relevant court?

with whom is the buyer forming the agreement, a natural person or a legal entity?

is Lisk the owner of the IP that forks from the earlier development work?

Feels a little overpriced at the moment. What do you guys think ?

The tech behind Lisk is built from the ground, it's solid and has a great potential. There's a huge development and marketing fund. I don't see how it's overpriced.
There is unfortunately a small team.

LOL yeah 2 people. probably 2 very rich people though now hehe Smiley

To clone a coin it costs about 1k usd for any DEV. So what we will be getting is a 2 Million usd web site. Its a recipee for success lol

in conclusion, it is fair i think to say that if the Lisk team fuck it up their reputations will be in the toilet for many years to come. they have their future credibility riding on the success of this project. life is short, but life is long.

a new logo is not the priority. forget the logo. get on with the core task of building the product.

Probably stupid question but hey...is it Lisk going to be mineable? if yes, when?
It uses DPOS. When it launch at the end of March, it will be mineable.

Thanks.
So no GPU mining huh? Just POS..

Lisk will be next ETH

Are you serious  ?

Every ppl who are joining this ICO have high expection.

Just to confirm - noone is really trying to sell their LISK presale coins under the presale price.

Couple of pages ago I made an offer to rebuy anyone's LISK for the price lower than presale price throught official channels and noone contacted me.

I did this to prove that all FUDsters are what they are - just FUDsters and general sentiment is rather optimistic! Seems great for the project!

And if you want to sell - contact me.

We invested our money. Why will we cash out it at a discount before a big profits?

Fixcrypt from the Lisk Chat just showcased a Dapp lite client, separated from the full client. It can run anywhere, without having Lisk installed.

Yes thanks LiskHQ, I'll push the whole source on github later today. This is simple so far with a few bugs around the edges, but sufficient I hope to show the potential of LISK. I started to work on it yesterday. It tells you how fast you can set up something with LISK.

Awesome, fixcrypt! It is amazing how quickly you have created this example.
Please post here (or better in the Lisk forum) the link to the sources.
I would have still two comments:
  • It seems to be not a light client (in terms of security), so the transactions are not localy signed. Rather, it seems to be a remote GUI for a externel Lisk node (usage of the node API). In addition, each user must be aware of the fact, that he shares the passphrase with the developer of the client. You have to trust the developer absolutely.
  • Node URL: only encrypted connections or connections to localhost should be allowed
