Great looking is not enough and not even the main point. You explained it yourself. A good logo is simple. This one needs too much detail to be understood...
It should look good on a webpage, it should look good on a t-shirt, it should look good on a pencil, and it should be recognizable with nearly no light. Just look at the ethereum logo... the lines are so clear, that even a nearly blind person can recognize it.
If you ask me to draw Ethereum logo I won't be able to do it. I remember that it's simple but I don't remember how it looks like. On the other hand Lisk logo is a crystal on a socle.
no. its a blue cristal on a dark grey socle with tons of surfaces. Do you know how many? What do you think can people easier remember. The surfaces of ethereum or the ones of lisk?
And if you change one surface its a different logo... its just any cristal then not the logo any more...
It's not 80s, it's 2016. There were certain rules that couldn't be broke because of printing limitations. Lisk doesn't need to be printed in one ink on packages or envelopes.
