Also I will give MAC's to the person that can compile windows-qt and help make this coin great.
Amount i can give depends on amount i mine. But or now half my wallet / 250 MAC's..

Hoping more will donate as incentive for a windows-qt

I am trying to compile it, but im getting an error thats driving me insane. I have a job that requires too many hours and a wife tired of me being on the computer... I will add 5,000 MAC's to the bounty!

I am not the creater either, but I did create the logo if someone needs them...

To me, that sounds very high for an incentive, but I want to see this coin do well and whoever puts the work in should be well rewarded!

I followed all the instructions, but after I create the conf file and then access machinecoind via command prompt, I just get the blinking _ underscore. When I try to shut it down I get a "machinecoind.exe has stopped working" error message. It works fine without the conf file, and I've created many conf files before so I know the information is correct.

Any ideas?

Edit: Nevermind. Got it working. Like that it takes a bit of effort to get this working. A refreshing change.

WINDOWS USERS & Machinecoin + screeny's part 2

Now with your wallet open (cmd window blinking seemingly doing nothing) like i showed in part 1
It is time use your wallet.. Open a new command window and navigate again to file machinecoin.

Only this time you can use different commands to use inside the wallet.
Like :
Code:
machinecoind getbalance
machinecoind getinfo
machinecoind getmininginfo
machinecoind getnewaddress   (i have yet to figure out how to get existing address out of it, but new one will work just as good)
machinecoind help
machinecoind listtransactions

left window is my 'open'  wallet  // right window i navigate trough wallet

So now your almost to look at the coins you mined solo or to connect to a pool http://p2pool.neocities.org great pool i must admit, well the only one.(got 100mac just for asking for help =)) So fast and helpfull if you need. And immediate payouts. (p2p pool)
Code:
bfminer/cgminer/orwhateverminer --scrypt -o http://67.233.202.8:21025 -u MAC_WALLET_ADDRESS -p x (can be any except blank)

However, since p2p pool is immediate your payouts will be immature, just like when you would mine solo. So you wont see any balance for a while when you type machinecoin getbalance it will stay 0.00000 for a while... Just navigate the wallet and type machinecoind listtransactions and you will see all your payments and that they are immature. And since network is still low takes some time to find blocks and mature

Nice coin so far, i like it... already teaching me loads.... hope i was helpfull. if not well little more i can do now =)

Well, I can no longer effectively solo mine with my pc, so that is progress. Also, once you get your MAC address (pun intended) if you post it on the comments on machinecoin.de, they are giving coins to the first 100 posters.

WINDOWS USERS & Machinecoin + screeny's part 1

1 Download the windows-daemon file like you would any qt from http://machinecoin.de/installation/ and extract it.
2 Follow the instructions on the site/ the next part will be same instructions but with pictures Smiley

2.1 Open a command window and go to the downloaded file
- open a command window by -> Start -> search -> & type cmd
- navigate the command window with   cd..  ( go back one folder) cd   (to enter folder)
- go to place you extracted the file you downloaded called : machinecoind

2.2 type :  machinecoind

it will blink, downloading blockchain, and go give you all kinds of info.... (dont worry bout info.....)  now close the window.

Now navigate to   (like you would with any other coin)
Create machinecoin.conf file here like you would with any other coin.

Code:
rpcuser=
rpcpassword=
rpcport=40332
server=1
listen=1
daemon=1
gen=0
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

Now repeat step 2.1 and 2.2 and your wallet it now open. It wont do much except blink but it is now active and you can solo mine if you like, just like any other coin. Pool mining is always better tough ^.^

part 2 i will explain how to use basics of the wallet

From what i figured, you should do "machinecoind getnewaddress"

That's how i got mine MUdRA6NKLQufNATHLCF2zBzmMq7L21nL5p

I'm trying to find out if i'm mining this or not, lol

Thanks a bunch. Now to keep fingers crossed and hope i typed it correctly and will actually receive some coins Smiley
And i would say yes mine! couldnt find anything better atm.. And even with little win support it is kinda fun... besides less people mass jumoing the network.. no gui client after all Smiley

I kinda like it. Stays true to it's name with 3 command windows open showing black and white letters and numbers =)

Anyone know any more commands then stated on website?
Like see orphans vs blocks vs immature? or maybe some other usefull ones?

You never know if a new coin is going to be on exchanges.

its best to get in on coins as early as possible before big miners
hop on it and difficulty level gets too high.

I've already mined alot of MAC on the p2pool
just in case and before its too late in the game to get it as easily

Although I'm a Linux-PC user, I do admit "MAC" has a nice name...
like internet MAC address or APPLE's MAC OSx  - lol
even MAC'n'Cheese! ( is there a CheeseCoin btw?  LoL )

I had spoke with the developers (from machinecoin.de) last week, they are actively developing the coin. Not sure why there is no windows qt. I sent an email using google translator to find out more info today. I am thinking of compiling a QT .exe from the source and forwarding it to them if they are not planning an update, but I am assuming they are.

I'm thinking they could use some help marketing in the U.S. That's why I posted here.

So I just wanted to get the word out. For some reason the wallet created more than one receiving address and it threw me off at first, (partly because there is no gui). I admit I did panic for a moment, because I am not familiar with running the wallet purely over the cmd prompt. So I ended up changing the address that I was mining with in the pool http://p2pool.neocities.org to the one it was now showing. Again I wasn't very familiar with the command side of these damn things lol. Needless to say I am now. However, I did message the admin at the pool to see if there was anyway for me to get back what I had lost, because I had changed the address I was mining with. He was very helpful and ended up sending me a 100MAC of his personal coins because of everything. To me this is an awesome way to keep me mining on a pool. If I wouldn't have spoken to him I probably would have given up. Now I will keep mining my heart out to show support for a pool that had my back even though it was pretty much my fault. So thank you to the admin at http://p2pool.neocities.org for helping out a newb and hopefully we can get more people mining on this pool. They will take care of you!!!
