I'd say even gpus are useless now. Only botnets.

How can you say gpu's are useless on maxcoin
when you earn 2-3x vs other coins on coinwars Huh

max.nut2pools.com

It depends on how much gpus you have

That doesnt make any sense, either you earn or you dont.
depending on how many gpus and hashrate you have, the earning will vary.

it does however not change the fact that maxcoin is 2-3x more profitable than any other coin atm

I'm running cgminer from https://github.com/Max-Coin/cgminer unter Linux and get a lot of "stale share detected, discarding". Tried different pools, everywhere the same. Anyone else have this problem?

That miner is really bad with alot of crashing.
Use the one onliner refered to Wink havent had an single crash with that one

Thanks, tried that pool, but still 50% discards using https://github.com/reorder/cgminer_keccak. Anything else I can do?
50% is a lot!

I used to have up to 20%, but since I started using two threads and reducing intensity and workspace, I have been getting higher hashrate, no HW errors and only very few stales.

Cpuminer WIN ver. perfect.

Laptop, Core i7-3615QM (mobile, 8 cores).

you are not gonna earn much, you are wasting your time and energy because the difficulty is too much for CPU miners now.Better try some other coin which supports CPU mining.

For example securecoin.
But, if you pay more than 0.1$ per KW/h, you will still loose money.

Fixed cgminer: https://github.com/reorder/cgminer_keccak
Also add option --no-submit-stale

This one is better, thanks. But I still have a lot of discarded shares, about 50%. However, a good progress compared to 75% with the maxcoin cgminer. Smiley
