Thanks for that, wasn't sure myself if it was as easy as opening up the program and letting in synch. Got one running at home and another booting up at work where it's free power\internet (within reason of course).

Hello! We are aware of the importance of the GUI wallet and devs are working hard to have it done. But we are sure that the process to start mining via console isn't hard at all. It's a matter of following directions.

Thanks for your comment!

webchain.typemine.com:3333 - diff 4000
raised the difficulty to 3000, then to 4000 ...
can I switch to an official pool?

where is the difficulty of 1000?

This has been changed back. We had a hashrate attack on the 1000 diff port causing issues so when this happens I have a script to kick in to alleviate the effects. Stick with us Smiley We are trying to make sure there is no downtime.

Diff 1000 is for really low end hardware, the problem is many people just automatically connect to that port with high end hardware or server farms. It places massive load on the servers and its actually not optimal for mining results.

Hello! webchain.thetapool.com is back online, we got heavily DDoSed along with the rest of the pools and had some downtime which we used to set up better security for our servers. The database is intact and everyone was paid in full the second we were back online. We're currently discussing on custom events for our pool(i.e. giveaways, extra features, overall design overhaul), tune in to our discord for announcements. The fee is still provably (see; pool wallet in the explorer) 0%, come and hash with us Smiley

OUCH! DDoSed? That can only mean one thing...  You guys are doing something right!!  Keep up the great work...  This looks very promising!!

Happy Mining!

Hi guys, Webchain is entering the Second Era with (Block Height #100000). This is the result of your work and great support, so we congratulate you for this success.

As you may know, entering a new Era represents a reward decrease, which guarantees a limit in the supply of the coin. We encourage you to participate in this new Era now and take maximum advantage out of it

Happy mining you all!

Soon. It's already going through the testing phase. And it isn't that hard, start by downloading webchaind and webchain-miner and follow the intructions mentioned in previous comments.

Nowadays, miners who want to exploit high efficiency in mines need a good drill. To do so requires the miner to pay a large sum of money. This is more or less limited to the participant. But Webchain is different. It does not require special hardware to exploit; as long as the device has a processor. Does this have to be an advantage for the project to be competitive and grow?

We really hope that the community feels attracted by Webchain project in the way that its main goal, as we've said before, is to make mining profitable for everyone.

Thanks for your comment.

So what pool should we use ?

official is up again but Network Hash Rate: 127.40 KH
while backup has Network Hash Rate: 298.28 KH
and for instance thetapool has Network Hash Rate: 357.93 KH

?!?!??!?!?!?!

The official pools (pool.webchain.network:3333 and pool2.webchain.network:2222) are working well. It's up to your difficulty expectations which one you want to mine.

Hi guys. Where can I find instructions for the console commands? There is nothing on the official website and in the topic. How can I check my balance or transfer funds?

Hello! You can find some command line options here.

You can check your balance on [urlhttps://explorer.webchain.network]Webchain explorer[/url], searching your wallet number or you can check it on console using webchain.getBalance("address"). Remember to add 0x before the wallet number.

To transfer funds:
  • Execute webchaind (from cmd)
  • run this command personal.unlockAccount(WALLET) and enter the password you set when creating the account
  • To transfer WEB, use webchain.sendTransaction({from:'WALLET1', to:'WALLET2', value: web3.toWei(0.05, "ether"), gas:21000}); where “WALLET1” represents your wallet, and “WALLET2” the recipient's wallet. 0.05 is the amount of WEBs to be sent  (0.05 WEB here is just an example).

Hello, i like your project, but iam noob.

I dont understand how to install wallet, but i see your token is erc20. Its possible to use my wallet erc20 eth for mining ?

Also keep in mind that we offer two pools according to the difficulty:

  • pool.webchain.network:3333
  • pool.webchain.network:2222 (lower difficulty)

You can set either one or the other on the config file too.

The GUI wallet hasn't been released yet. You would have to start mining using your console. Steps are easy:

1) Download webchaind and create your webchain wallet. (Steps are here).

2) Download webchain-miner and unpack it. You'll have to add your just-generated address number to the config.json file and adjust the parameters that you consider important.

3) To start mining, you just need to execute webchain-miner app.

And to mine on webchain you need to use a webchain wallet. No other wallets are supported.

that is transaction fee of transaction done through that block.

And a more complete explanaition was added here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.38369348

I have balance left awaiting payout for two days now in the official pool, can any one tell me how to get my balance out of this pool? Huh Huh

Hello. I just checked your account and you have no pending balance. Everything is paid. If there was a delay, it was probably due to the recent attacks.

In relation to bot, will not be accepted any type of bot on the platform? WEBChain will only be a currency, so it will not have a role of exchange?

As you can read from our all transactions made on Webchain are public and trackable and bots usually feel attracted by platforms where anonymity and privacy are features which make it difficult to track transactions.

Regarding your other question, we will soon be starting to apply to exchanges and will let you all know about it along with the right directions to operate WEB.
