why can't bots be determined?
can't player movements on the blockchain be recorded so the predictability can be mapped?

a question
can you please add a function in motocoin-qt that allows me to import a wallet.dat file
coz i put my .dat wallet in all the motocoin dirs in windows and its not showing, though the wallet is syncing, thank goodness, OLOL
does the wallet need a specific name?
shouldn't there be a load wallet menu item in the menu? so u can load .dat files manually inside the wallet itself?
please add this functionality, its very necesarily I believe..

But there is no way to be 100% sure there are no bots... People with will and time are going to find a way to make a bot.

I still agree with the dev's, the current approach is the best. We must keep the bots, but we must make them have the same mining difficulty as humans.

We must get a lot more human mining going before we can know if any gap remains, and how much of one.

(Or we need a bot of the same caliber as what is on the network, for study.)

So crypto games are flawed because of BOTS ?

I've had critics in this thread before because of the domination of the bots, this coin was pretty much monopolized by just a few people. But, I don't think this is valid anymore because the price of MOTO has been so low that anyone has had the chance to buy some for little money. So as soon there has been good circulation of ALL the botted coins then this coin could be ready for another stage, marketing, adoption, services, more exchanges, etc. That said it would be so much better if there were no bots at all anymore, then more and more players will come and there would be positive stories around it by itself.

what about the last ideas of a story in the game and incorporating a visual coin appearing when u earn it

I'm not sure how much room there would be for plot development.

A coin animation would be fine, if you want to make such a thing I'd consider adding it.

Quote
and also what format
what scale? i would...

The static assets are visible in the source code at https://github.com/motocoin-dev/motocoin/tree/master/src/game/images and the environment shaders are implemented in strings in https://github.com/motocoin-dev/motocoin/blob/master/src/game/render.cpp so just submit replacements, equivalently formatted, in a pull request.

i doubt he has faith in cryptos. and to be honest neither do i. the devs dont even respond to my considerations for changing the visuals of this game and make it promotable, coz right now its not promotable, its horrible shit

Why such a tone?

William and I have both responded several times to your comments about the graphics.  I'll say again that if you create some good alternative assets I'll add in a theme system to use them.

You need not only to be a programmer but to be a good one. I made this coin but I have almost no idea how to make a bot. Before HMC's hardfork it was easier but now this is very non-trivial. I think we will all benefit if botman will release his bot. Maybe intentionally slowed down version or which sends some part of reward back to him.

A very nice idea Smiley I hope he's around...

although that's a very poignant fact I don't care to deny, my concern is really with trying to help stabilize the blockchain.
if anyone has some bots they like to share I'd be willing to give them half of all coins mined

That's everyone's concern Wink

If the bot creator is here, he's not interested in sharing the bot...
He could make it give him half of the blocks you mine. That would be good. Then the price would increase.
The price would increase because everyone would have a chance at getting coins.

my dad is a computer science lecturer but to be honest it doesn't run in the family

if (you don't like programming yourself)
then (stuff it)
else (don't mind programmers and programming at all in fact)
It think you meant:

int you_don't _like_programming_yourself = ;

if you_don't_like_programming_yourself = 0;
{
stuff it;
}

else
{
don't mind programmers and programming at all in fact;
}
exit      ?

Not sure if that is right.

But in batch it would be...

Code:
@echo off
set /p you_dont_like_programming_yourself=Do you like programming yourself?

if %you_dont_like_programming_yourself% == "Yes" goto true
if %you_dont_like_programming_yourself% == "yes" goto true
if %you_dont_like_programming_yourself% == "Y" goto true
if %you_dont_like_programming_yourself% == "y" goto true

cls
echo stuff it
pause
exit

:true

cls
echo don't mind programmers and programming at all in fact
pause
exit
Put that in a .txt file and save it as "program.bat" then run it.

Apparently using goto is bad but how else would I do it? (question for a programmer to answer)

Smiley

P.S. I don't know why I just wrote that. Smiley

im nota  programmer
my dad might ahve too HUGE pc's at work available next year that can do like 3 teraflops or something maybe i could use them?
i donno how to make bots... u could pm me and tal me hao, lol

There isn't any recipe to make bots. Either you know how to program and you're creative, or you don't.

p.s if you tell me how to set up a miner I can have at least 2 decent PC's mining.
How to set up a bot in windows, plz
how much bandwidth does it take?
Bot mining instructions need to be clearly detaield on the motocoin website...
First, you should create your own bot, no public bot-miners are available.
It doesn't take more bandwith than simply running a wallet (which is very small).

Big dumps yesterday and today. It's good time to buy, if only MOTO will survive. And I belive it will. Sooner or later there will be more bots, so the chain will be more secured. And HunterMinerCrafter still active and engaged developer.

Maybe he is looking for his missing cat? Will he ever find it, haha with a little story to make you go further after each level.

We need to put in a cat Easter egg. Smiley Maybe the coin can be changed into a cat with a 1/10000 chance it will happen.

That would be really nice.

...or a dog. Smiley

i think the shapes around which is being driven, well they are too round they should be more elongated for more enjoyable game play. I don't suppose that would be possible? It would be more driveable...
Also maybe you can have like a ridiculous little man wearing a cap, wearing colourful clothes, the cape fluttering in the wind. a more cartoony feel and less mechanical, without outlines for that impressionistic effect with saturated colours... a wonky, striped hat, curled shoes, and a wooden bicycle or semi- Penny Farthing, for style Smiley

That would be pretty cool. It reminds me of Willy Wonka.
