We made some adjustments last night, and added a few new coins -- this led to much better overnight profits than the previous 24h Wink

Just a heads up, overall profits (for my rig, at least) appear to be a bit lower for the last 24hrs than normal.
I've been mining these coins for several weeks now, and have a pretty good run rate of at least 50% better than the 'calculated ltc rate', sometimes doubling it.

The last 24hrs I'm at a whopping 15% better than LTC. Your mileage may vary depending on your selling patterns/withdraw settings.

Many of the coins we mine have been a bit low on the Cryptsy markets, and we had some stratum issues last night, all playing into this short coming.. but we remain determined to add the coins needed to keep profits coming in as expected.

Hopefully these numbers don't turn you away, as we'll continue to improve our profit calculation tool along with the coins that we mine Wink

Thanks!

I can't speak for flound@multipool, but I pull the difficulty from the coin daemons themselves and exchange rates directly from exchange api's -- similar to coinchoose

Added NET and LOT to the profit-check port yesterday, will continue to add coins as they move up in the profit calculation list Wink

Can you tell us where you get your data from?   I've been trying to figure out where you and multipool get data from, since it's not coinwarz (coinwarz shows much different data than you and multipool)

Just wondering so that maybe I can view past performance on certain coins?

Thanks (I'm still new to this stuff)

Last night was a rough night for us, we had some stratum issues after upgrading our database server. I deeply apologize if this affected anyone's profitability.

We've made some adjustments and now have stratum and web responding much faster. We will be adding additional stratum servers and web servers throughout the day to ensure we don't bump into this again

Thanks!

Why not just try it yourself?

alright I'll give it 24 hours to see how profitability stacks up to multipool.  2.1Mh/s sent your way guys.

I do not recommend, the reward is 60% less than expected

Could anyone elaborate on this?   I started with Hashco.ws, then moved to multipool.us, which seems to be better than hashco.ws.   I'm not some big miner with thousands of machines, I'm only at 2.1Mh/s now, though building a second rig with 6 r9 290's for around 7.9Mh/s total, but I'm not a big baller like some people are.   I don't have the time to constantly change coins, so multi pools work well for me, but If this site does a better job than multipool, I'd certainly switch...but this "60% less" thing is a little worrysome.

Can I get a no bullshit response on what this guy might be talking about?

Dreams are realities un-manifested.
Thanks phroz / merc for the clarification, I mainly took issue with the general relationship to the Gambler's Fallacy as when counting cards you can get a better indicator of probability so long as the cards get burnt and not reshuffled.

In this case past (to me the present immediately becomes the past) performance is playing a factor towards calculating potential profitability based upon a delay for the market to react (delay allowing time to sell).

Still am enjoying the pool, as with others I see. Grand work merc82 (& team if applicable) !!! I look forward to seeing how your pool evolves.

Cheers!

We swap different coins at different speeds, with the majority being set to 10minutes. Coins like GLX and SPT that retarget at very quick rates, we check the calculations a bit more rapidly while mining to ensure we don't waste time chasing a high difficulty for low reward.

We try to ensure (to the best of our ability) that we are only mining coins that we -should- find blocks in the time we spend mining them each time.. of course luck plays into that a lot, but typically we should find at least 3 blocks within the time we spend mining a coin

i disagree with the minimum time to stay on a coin.  It's always best to mine the most profitable coin because past results have no effect on future probability.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambler%27s_fallacy

So why bother mining the most profitable coin based on past performance under any circumstance if past results have no effect on future probability? Probability does not remain constant in this case, it swings with human "belief", unlike a dice... Anyhow, I personally am not a fan of the rapid coin flipping.
We aren't mining based on past performance that is why it switches.  Profitability is determined I'd say based on current market conditions and difficulty of the coin.  It adjusts when those change.

Great pool, looking forward to seeing the 2 factor authentication.

To me it seemed the multiport flapps quite a bit between coins, so if there is a change to the multiport I would like to see it commit to the changed coin for a period of not less than 20 minutes (1-2 hours ideally). Thoughts?

On the dashboard your profitability calc looks relative to LTC, however you have a last price for BTC, should be one or the other as opposed to mixed? Also not sure if you are trying to avoid projections but a column for LTC(or BTC) per hour per KHs would also be beneficial to the overview of profitability.

Just my 2 Satoshi's worth, hope my opinion makes sense otherwise throw it in the bit-bucket  Grin
