It's also a unique coin in what it is setting out to do, no bells, whistles, dapps etc
...

Maza devs will probably adapt the coin as needed.

It is likely that there will be other Native currencies like Mazacoin in the Americas. Also likely that the developers of those coins will try to issue them with some cooperation with Maza devs, if those coins are genuine.

The role of MZC still isn't clear. It is a Native themed coin that initially had a vague 'currency reserve' or something, but distribution is not what it should be for a genuine Native coin obviously. The solution may be for Maza devs to issue another currency whose distribution is 100% to Natives, and let MZC be the exchange medium for the new coin, for example a wallet that has both coins and a means to exchange. A new coin issued only to Natives would be worth billions off the bat if it were done properly, at this point, but developers would have to protect the interests of people not familiar with crypto, e.g., each Native gets 100 coins per year for 5 years, then 200 per year for 5 years, then 250 per year for 5 years, then 275 etc.

Bells, whistles, dapps will probably come eventually.

We surprize attacked the Natives with guns, polio blankets and toilet paper treaties. They are careful enough now to have their targets lined up before the big guns come out.

Is this explorer even accurate?!?!

https://explorer.coinpayments.net/index.php?chain=11

It's showing the last transaction being 6 days ago.

I just tried to send some MZC from Bittrex to Cryptopia.

It's better than a lot of other explorers on that site.

Earthcoin last block January 15 https://explorer.coinpayments.net/index.php?chain=10
Myriadcoin September 2016 https://explorer.coinpayments.net/index.php?chain=9
Omnicoin January 2017 https://explorer.coinpayments.net/index.php?chain=5

The explorer at http://mazacoin.thecoin.pw/ has the same block height as the MZC status at https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=MZC&view=links

Also http://explorer.cryptoadhd.com:2750/chain/Mazacoin is at the right height

Sent Cryptopia the new explorer. Mazacoin has a lot more 'independent' websites than most coins, people that just made their own website to support the coin, but most of the websites do not have any traffic, working explorer etc. At some point crypto will pick up and Mazacoin will probably do well. It has to adapt though. Having its own exchange website, a page where people can exchange other currencies directly for Mazacoin might be necessary to keep the coin viable.

Also PEOPLE NEED TO VERIFY WITHDRAWALS FROM BITTREX.

Some people, including me, have 'withdrawn' coins from Bittrex, the transaction id shows on their withdrawal page, everything looks right, but the coins were never sent. On a previous coin they delisted I sent them numerous emails telling them their supposed transaction was not in the chain and they ignored me. Nothing much you can do when an exchange does that. A few people will probably lose their Mazacoin withdrawals from Bittrex and never even know it because they did not verify the transaction on an explorer or wallet.

I was able to receive my coins it just took a while. I have supported this project for a while. I see that the supply increased to a billion. Sadly in the current cryptomainia people are ignoring this coin. Just a bitcoin clone with no cap.

there isn't a hard cap, but after I think approx 5 years, there's just a million coin a year minted
I say just as with a high amount of coins, a million is negligible per annum
this makes sense to encourage mining and not just from transaction fees, rather than an absolute hard cap like bitcoin imo

It's also a unique coin in what it is setting out to do, no bells, whistles, dapps etc
One I continue to watch with interest and hold the bit I have

Good news people.

Bittrex is delisting Mazacoin.

...

^because bittrex hates freedom and what bitcoin fundamentally stands for anonymous payment systems especially ones like mazacoin are a threat to their whole operation ! :\ fuck you bittrex go to hell :-D

Bittrex is looking exactly like cryptsy right before they folded, something not good is going on behind the scenes at Bittrex.

It looks like Mazacoin just got lucky.

Anyway Cryptopia is looking better.

-

Longterm, a good solution would be for anybody to make an exchange denominated in MZC. Cryptopia took dotcoin and turned it into a coin almost as big as Maza just by making it their exchange currency. If somebody built a Mazacoin exchange to trade other currencies MZC would be powerful.

If somebody is interested in doing that, speak up if you need help.

An update on the Dakota pipeline activity.

"CINCINNATI — As his administration continues to withhold details about the roles 37 troopers played at the pipeline protest in North Dakota last fall, Ohio Gov. John Kasich confirmed last week that he approved sending them."

And this little bit of history just came out

http://www.motherjones.com/media/2017/04/standing-rock-osage-murders-david-grann-flower-moon-dapl

Quote
...
one of the most sinister crimes in American history. In 2012, when I first visited the Osage Nation Museum, its then-director, Kathryn Red Corn, told me about this mysterious and deadly plot. I was shocked that I had never learned about it in school or read about it in books, and over the next several years I began to try to uncover the depths of the wrongdoing.

Turley told me that when he was young he had heard about the killings from elder members of the tribe. "Every Osage knows about the murders," he said. He learned that the Osage once laid claim to much of the Midwest (Thomas Jefferson described them as a "great nation"), but like so many American Indians, they were gradually forced off their ancestral lands. They were driven into Kansas in 1825 and were relocated during the 1870s to the reservation in northeast Oklahoma. By then, their population had dwindled to a few thousand because of massacres and disease and starvation. Although the new reservation was bigger than the state of Delaware, the land was rocky and presumed worthless.

Several years later, an Osage Indian pointed out to a white trader a rainbow sheen on the surface of a creek. It was oil. The reservation, it turned out, was sitting above some of the largest deposits of petroleum then known in America, and to extract that oil, prospectors had to pay the Osage for leases and royalties. In 1906, the tribe granted each of its 2,000 or so registered members a headright, essentially a share in the mineral trust. In 1923 alone, the tribe collected what would today amount to more than $400 million—the New York Times deemed them the wealthiest people per capita in the world. Belying long-standing stereotypes, they lived in mansions and had white servants and rode in chauffeured cars. "Lo and behold!" exclaimed the Outlook, a New York City magazine. "The Indian, instead of starving to death…enjoys a steady income that turns bankers green with envy."

Then, one by one, the Osage with headrights began to be murdered off. During what became known as the Osage Reign of Terror, there were poisonings, shootings, and even a bombing. Several of those who tried to catch the killers were themselves killed, including one attorney who was thrown from a speeding train. As the death toll reached more than two dozen, the Justice Department's Bureau of Investigation—later renamed the Federal Bureau of Investigation—took up the case. It became one of the FBI's first major homicide investigations. But for two years, the bureau bungled the case, failing to make any arrests.

Fearing a scandal, the bureau's new director, J. Edgar Hoover, turned to an old frontier lawman named Tom White, who assembled a team of undercover operatives, including an American Indian agent. In 1926, they captured one of the criminal masterminds—a prominent white settler who had orchestrated an intricate plot to steal the Osage's headrights and fortune. But, as I discovered from my research, the extent of the killings was far greater than the bureau ever exposed, and there were scores, perhaps hundreds, of murders that went unsolved. The perpetrators absconded with much of the Osage's fortune, which was further diminished by the Great Depression and the depletion of oil reserves.

About "transaction fee". I did not realize "transaction fee" field in the options. I will play around with that and will let you know ;-)

Out of curiousity, is that because a person does not include a transaction fee? Some wallets show a slider for transaction fee, pay 0 and wait a long time or pay 0.1 and have fast confirmation. And would rescanning fix it too, since the transaction is not on the blockchain?
