(ElectrumX then subsequently released some other minor revisions, which seem to mostly be bug fixes; the latest release is currently v1.8.12.) If you run a Namecoin ElectrumX server, please consider upgrading to the latest ElectrumX release

I have a problem with an unconfirmed transfer. Relating to this chart, a fair transaction fee should be 1 mNMC:

Electrum-NMC v3.1.3-beta1 Released

We’ve released Electrum-NMC v3.1.3-beta1. This release supports Namecoin currency transactions, but does not yet support AuxPoW or name transactions. This release is based on work by both ahmedbodi and myself.

34C3 Summary

As was previously announced, Jonas Ostman and I (Jeremy Rand) represented Namecoin at 34C3 in Leipzig, Germany. This was our first Congress, so we didn’t quite know what to expect, but we were pretty confident that it would be awesome. We were not disappointed. The CCC community is well-known for being friendly and welcoming to newcomers, and we greatly enjoyed talking to everyone there.

Namecoin gave 3 talks, all of which were hosted by the Monero Assembly and the Chaos West Stage. I expect 2 of those talks to have videos posted sometime later this month. Unfortunately, 1 of the talks suffered an audio issue in the recording, so it won’t have a video posted (but I will post the slides of that talk, as well as the other talks’ slides). The talks’ titles are:

Namecoin as a Decentralized Alternative to Certificate Authorities for TLS
Namecoin for Tor Onion Service Naming (And Other Darknets) (No video will be posted due to audio recording technical issues)
A Blueprint for Making Namecoin Anonymous
As usual for conferences that we attend, we engaged in a large number of conversations with other attendees. Also as usual, I won’t be publicly disclosing the content of those conversations, because I want people to be able to talk to me at conferences without worrying that off-the-cuff comments will be broadcast to the public. That said, I can say that a lot of very promising discussions happened regarding future collaboration with allied projects, and we’ll make any relevant announcements when/if such collaborations are formalized.

Cheddur allows you to link wallets, exchanges, and other services that support NMC so that new users can easily get started. You can also review the project and post your NMC addresses on your profile to receive tips / payments / donations in NMC from other users

Can others from the community please review the profile for quality and help us add supported services? The more active the Namecoin profile is (via user reviews and addresses), the higher it ranks in search results and the more likely newcomers are to discover the Namecoin project!

Both chains will be able to merge mine Namecoin, and the Namecoin network will accept both.  The only thing that matters for a valid aux proof-of-work for Namecoin is that you have a block header with good enough PoW hash.  The header doesn't need to be part of the Bitcoin blockchain (in fact, many that meet the NMC difficulty but not Bitcoin's aren't), so it does not really matter if the Bitcoin network splits.

In light of BTC potentially splitting soon. what happens to namecoin? Do you keep merge mining on BTC classic or whatever it will be called? Will miners who want namecoin on the segwit chain need to update their software? If there is no consensus on which bitcoin chain to use for namecoin, and people end up mining both, do we then end up with 2 namecoins??

Why do you think it will increase so far,is there any latest big news(news of biolizard meeting with icann already absorbed by market traders)?It has already increased like other altcoin with bitcoin rise due to dollar value increase.
