There were some very large blocks, could it be processing just takes longer?

Hey guys,

P2pool merge miner here, got a little problem. I've started getting timeout getauxblock errors on my namecoind for no apparent reason after, what I thought, updating my Xubuntu 14.04 64bit rig with the latest security updates. I've re-compiled it a couple of times, and even tried using the binary from the unofficial repo (http://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home%3Ap_conrad%3Acoins&package=namecoin) - but am still getting the same errors. I asked about on the p2pool thread, and a user has also confirmed the same problem but running OSX Mavericks 10.9.4.

It's a strange one - can anyone help shed any light on this for me? Anyone else getting this error? It's been running solid for months........

Note that if you come from a previous version the first start will take a couple of minutes because some database optimization will take place in the background. It will save you a couple hundred MB.

Make a copy of your data directory (%APPDATA%/namecoin) before running! This version will make changes to blkindex.dat that are NOT backward compatible. Of course you should always have encrypted up to date backups of your wallet.dat file!

How come namecoins network hashrate is SOOOO high? Espeically if its like the least profitable altcoin to mine?
