It's not my favorite logo. I don't think the color scheme reps NYC. But logo design is a personal preference. Glad you like it. And glad to see you still around!

There has been a heated discussion for some time within the NYC Community on how to handle the large circulating supply.  So I made a survey to get a feel for what the community as a whole might agree upon.
Please vote.  If anyone would like to see more options added to the survey let me know and I will add them.  This a community survey so I want everyone to be heard.

Thank you

The total amount of NYC is the same as that of doge and xrp. The total amount is not a problem. The total amount of xrp is so much that the price can reach 4$ each. Why?

Yes, google postcard code has been requested over a week ago. Nothing received yet  Angry
Mail (and packages) do go missing alot here in the big city. Sticky fingers, I guess...

NYC volume is ticking up...

NewYorkCoin (NYC) received a beautiful Christmas present with the highest trading volume in its history!

Is NYC about to receive some Easter buying pressure?

Hold on tight NYC Supporters and enjoy the ride!

Pretty sure yes indeed...... Last chance at 1sat & 2sats maybe..

Cant stop the NYCoin train Baby!
There is also great potential for profitability when we invest in NYC. The price is only 1 sat and the possibility of growth is very high, just increased to 1 unit that people can laugh.

Did you request adding this place to google maps? This would be advertisement for free + useful tool when looking for directions.

I voted for NewYorkCoin on the list of cryptaldash, currently it had 900 votes. I want to know how many coins will be selected in this listing of the exchange site?

guys I have a question:
Roadmap:
Q3:  Constructing a NewYorkCoin inflation-reduction plan in order to balance the need to maintain zero or near-zero transaction fees while adequately incentivizing miners to solve blocks on the NewYorkCoin blockchain
Q4:  Implementing the inflation reduction plan after receiving network consensus

therefore the quantity of coins purchased decreases by half or more, right?

hi there!
that actually depends on what you mean:

* If by halving you mean, having the block reward van from 10k to 5k NewYorkCoin, that means that per 30sec a block reward of 10k NYC would be send to that miner that resolved this specific block. => This is on the roadmap yes, but needs consensus in the community.

* If you mean something in the sense of a hard forking to a coin with a lower max supply): that would mean ... or better said: COULD mean that there would be eg a reduction for all coin holders in their wallet. Let's say current supply goes from 133bilion to 1.3 billion, some1 with 1million coins should only have 10.000 coins in their wallet.
=> This is NOT on the ROADMAP!

An investigation of possible coin burn events is also ongoing, that has nothing to do with your concerns, however coin burn would mean that people would volunteer to send a % of their coins (let's say fee's for mining pool operators, games like dice,...) to a "burn wallet" where they never could be used again.

Not a project in the sense of a startup.  The coin has been around since 2014.  I welcome you to visit http://newyorkcoin.net  Many establishments now accepting NYC for purchase.  NYC center just opened up. Tell us a little about yourself.  Your welcome to mine the coin, or offer and ideas you may have for helping.  Feel free to email me I can give you more details, I suggest reading the forum from the start.

Great project.Want to participate but don't know still thinking.Where you can find more information about the project.I would be grateful if you help ) Grin Grin Grin

Nikita you can also visit https://nycoin.community/ and check out the discord and reddit links or if you have technical skills you can visit the community github and check out the list of updates we are working on and need help with https://github.com/NewYorkCoin-NYC/ToDo/issues. We are currently updating the core code and working on updated wallets (like an electrum port). We are also working towards getting a working implementation of newyorkcj (bitcoinj port) so that nyc will be functional with ATMs.

I don't fully understand why do we have 2 websites?

https://nycoin.community/ seems to be ahead, it supports https and has meta description + keywords filled and is also linked from CMC.

But http://newyorkcoin.net/ is much higher in google search results and supports more languages. So why do we run both?

Wouldn't be better to have just 1 site which has all?

https://nycoin.community/ is the official community site with the dev team behind it. 100% community driven.

http://newyorkcoin.net/ (and this ANN) is run by only one guy. An early miner and supporter, pushing the coin in his direction on his own terms and no dev behind.

The coin was basically forgotten and dead until mid-2017 and .net guy made some efforts to revive and gain some awareness. A new rising community and dev's finally came on board late 2017/jan 2018 in big numbers after crypto got media attention. But soon noticed that the coin image was run by only one guy with no dev skills hyping it, owning all the previous sites, making all the decisions and did not want anyone else to interfere like he owned the coin. So, after numerous failed attempts from the new community and dev's reaching out to team up and run this together, the community and dev's had to break loose and create their own sites. NYCoin is a 100% decentralized community driven coin, by the community for the community and not just by one man. The new website design was given to .net guy from the new community as a last attempt to team up and show what the community and dev's could do together to help lift the coin off the ground. That failed again as he started to do a lot of changes to it against the community's will, still spreading hype and false news and using abusive language towards other members. They eventually gave up and created their own sites so that the community and dev team could run it together and be transparent. In just 3 months they have done more work than the last 4 years, so, nycoin.community site would be the preferred site if you want real news and updates and not just spam and hype.
