I have NYCoins from 2014 and started mining again after so long. However when I download the new Wallet it is showing a message..."Alert Key Compromised. Upgrade required" But i am using the latest wallet v 1.0.1.1. Thought that was the latest one. Any idea?

my antivirus removed newyorkc-qt.exe. it says it is a "worm.ircbot.kmzbw". any thoughts on this matter?

Many of the Anti-Virus softwares deem 'bots' in miners as a virus. You have to put it on the exception list if you wish to keep using it. The 'qt' in question is in a wallet which can also mine.
Note, some AV software will remove what it deems as unsafe before you can fix the problem. Good luck.

Dev alredy stated it's from old wallet. Just ignore it. You can hover over mouse and see if it syncs and works.

Just in name and spirit. NYC is likely named so because it's "faster than a New York minute!" and it's 30 second blocks make it ideal for time-sensitive transactions in a fast paced environment - like New York City.
