Soop sounds pretty stoked from the post. And he's a man of his word, and he has even stated that personally.

This is huge! The ALGO will secure the wallet transactions better and faster transactions possibly, if implemented correctly.. From what I am grabbing from the post.... Still Proof of Stake, just better again ALGO more opportunities, a well as services the most important.

Also fyi, Shapeshift.io is preparing to convert any coin to btc.
