But you're using a different version of scrypt-jane now, right?
Yep.
Well, there are so many scrypt altcoins, and only one using scrypt-jane. I want Onecoin to be a bit more different to existing coins.

Ok cool Smiley please post some good mining instructions up and i will aim my cpu's at it Smiley
Sure, I'll do it.

Interesting I will try to mine some.  But what will be after Onecoin? Zerocoin?

All right, what do you think about combination of BLAKE 512 and Salsa 64? Salsa 64 doesn't seem to have working GPU implementation yet. I personally don't think that it's exceptionally bad that scrypt-jane will be once mined on GPUs, at least (if you believe in what is said in corresponding topic) Litecoin's scrypt implementation is no more ASIC-proof. That's the way the technologies advance, no algorithm may be considered protected from such events.

Yes, i agree, and of course it's your coin so up to you and i like the idea of the one coin.

But if you just make it scrypt it is fairer to all since those that do not have the gpu implemented to mine those you mention will have a big advantage over those that don't. Most people here have gpu if they have a farm or just a few then yes that is a difference, but i guess they took the risk of investing so much in hardware and power.

Anyway i will give it a go whatever and see what happens. Please post very specific instructions on how to mine upon launch if it is different to the usual scrypt mining we do in cgminer.
thanks

Should've just stuck with either scrypt or the original scrypt-jane (which are both GPU mineable and less prone to being fucked over by a botnet)

Okay, so now scrypt-jane is using BLAKE 512 and Salsa 64. Also I rewrote GetNfactor() to make Nfactor increase more uniform.
cpuminer for Onecoin is coming soon (it should be a lot faster on 64 bit machines than the built-in miner).

BotNetCoin would be a better choice as a name.

the excuse of gpu implementation is plain stupid, so you want someone to 1, make coin 2 make binary 3 make gpu implementation 4 no premine 5 no instamine

have you ever spent time trying the first three? i'd support the blake 512 idea just to see if it works, but most of the whining here is childish, pump and dump squad gabble that's pulling cryptos behind. IF HE WANTS TO EXPERIMENT, LET HIM!!!

Why cut out GPU miners at all? It's only $300 for a 7950...If you can't afford that, why are you bothering with Crypto at all?

yup just forget Jane, digi seems to to be the best design so far. Perhaps just a little slower to clear up the orphan rate.

Scrypt-jane ? You mean Keccak and chacha as used in Yacoin ?
So those who already implemented them in their private version of GPU miners will benefit and others will get less than their power cost ? ... nice ^^

(especially if using the changing N factor from Yacoin and using the same initial value, GPU miners are around 100 times more powerful than CPU miners ...)
Around 10MH/s for a 7950 at low N ...

Scrypt-jane will kill this coin, because the only thing standing in the way of GPU implementation is a decent coder. There are no hardware restrictions. I'm willing to bet my entire life crypto-earnings that at least one person has successfully implemented GPU support for scrypt-jane, but just has not released it to the public.

Scrypt-Jane...Good call. That has worked out so well for YaCoin Roll Eyes

Scrypt-jane - awesome choice!

I'm glad that is it's back i liked the idea. I don't though think cpu only is a good way to go. I think something like digitial coin with perhaps a little more security and a really fair launch. Not saying digi wasn't fair since i can't remember the launch that well. But cpu only is just for those with amazon clusters and modded gpu miners.
