Its actually sad that Namecoin isn't listed on any tier 1 exchanges now. Almost 10 years old. Merged mined with bitcoin. Actively developed.
Namecoin will be around 10 years from now as well. Most other coins and projects won't. Lindy.

We need to start selling namecoin domains. I happen to own a pair of those. One is called "bebenda.zunda" while another one is a domain I wanna sell to synoptic weather bureau called "weather.lalala". I think if we get people to stir some noise around domain thing which is unique to namecoin, we will be rewarded by attention from crypto community. Disclaimer: Im not selling bebenda.zunda for less than 6 btc.

I absolutely agree.
Although, it seems most of the "Cryptocurrency hype" for exchange volume chasers thus far is for new projects... I think that the "old coin hype" is coming soon though.

Perhaps Namecoin will seize this opportunity which is manifesting itself through all this purging and censorship now taking place. Those truthers didn't do the trick but now the president of the free world has been silenced maybe this will juice things up a bit for your mundane price action.Opportunity rarely knocks more than once

It's only going to get worse from here... however, I do not think Bitcoin will be able to avoid "it" at this point.

But just in case this isn't clear, Namecoin's main purpose is (unlike most other altcoins/tokens) not to be an investment, but to be actually useful as decentralised domain name and general naming system.

NameCoin have the mining difficulty and network-hashrate almost as Bitcoin, and cost $0.57.
It seems, like real price, economically justified price for bitcoin is ~$1-2, because of this.

It should be noted that Namecoin is "merge mined" with Bitcoin. This means the Bitcoin miners secure the Namecoin network and use no more electricity or work than they would just mining Bitcoin alone.
Hope that helps... Namecoin is still a great buy though IMO.
and if miners prefer to do mining NameCoin better than just buy this,
this means miners so poor, to do not let themself to buy NMC,
and because of this, keeping hashrate of bitcoin is not so hard,
using just a corresponding investments, like in already exists in this NMC, or that ETH.
