At the current point, yeah. tbx seems to have about 1200kH/s on it, fbx looks like about 150.
So a potential attacker only needs something like 60 high end cpus or about 1000 really crappy ones to have a good chance at forking and overtaking the tbx chain, about 1/8 that for fbx.

good information and this is why I am planning to stay away from CPU coins for a while Smiley
All you need is a some asshole with a botnet and you can say bye-bye to all your mined coins.

Unless you immediately convert them to a more secure currency.  Shifting the risk to anyone willing to hold the less secure currency.

Which is why I don't mind leaping into every shitcoin pyramid to come along as long as I'm in early and there's an exchange.  I figure I have at least a week or two before anyone will bother attacking and so far I'm at 100% at beating the "pre mined" coins to the exit.

if fairbrix is based on tenebrix and all the FBX just vanished, how do we know this is not going to happen to tbx?

Just wait for it. It will come soonish as the botnet master wakes up. The guy who trashed FBX will kill TBX. ATM, only bitcoin is pretty safe because of massive power on network. All other chains can be attacked by people like ArtForz and BitcoinExpress ( Apple employee ) so watch your coins people !

TBX price just crashed. I was supposed to have found 4 blocks but somehow only got 2 blocks. 7.7 million pre-mined coins. Code written by ArtForz. Marketing by lolcust. Can this really get any better ?

Waiting for SC2 and hoping that does not fail too. Need I say more ?

PROOF OF WORK RESULT : true (yay!!!)
means you've got a block (if you were mining solo)
where can I read this?
is this a output in console?
TIA
The miner reports it like everything else.

OK I got it working with : ./minerd --user 1 --pass 1 --url http://127.0.0.1:8697

now I'm right here...
how do I see if a block is solved?
how long is it estimated to solve a block?
and where do I see my earnings?
TIA

Pool seems to have some mild statistic issues remaining, hope those get worked out soon. It kinda upsets many miners.

Agreed, I'm trying to be patient and give it a few days (assuming Simplecoin is working on them).  It's just that tenebrix is a different animal and I think it will take a little while to get all of the stats right.  The TBX balance was updated, but only once.  I assume it will be updated again soon as the unconfirmed seems to be growing appropriately.

The historical blocks are a little funky with some of the confirmations being out of order compared to block #.

Thanks for all your help simplecoin!

I tried with guiminer it seems to connect with a good speed, but am I mining anything at all?  Or do we need to use minerd which is kinda slow Sad
Yes, you need to mine using minerd, since it uses a completely different cryptographic algorithm, also explaining why it's "slow".

If you're on windows, go here and get the "windows pack."

http://www.tenebrix.org/get-started.html

this link is the windows pack:

http://www.mediafire.com/?lsrhlh0b6zp6bih

Then use START_MINING.bat and enter the settings to get rolling.

Yes, there was a payout issue with TBX. That said, it should be showing up now (All previous shares)

yepyep!  Account just showed up with 17 TBX!  I'm sure it'll take a while to work out all the kinks with TBX being so different.

Thanks Simplecoin!

Questions to simplecoin are best delivered via #simplecoin channel, since quite frankly I have little ability to provide pool support...

After about 10 hours of mining in the pool- my estimates are 0.19xx. Switched to solo, and 10 minutes later I found a block. There's something really wrong in the balance stats of the pool...

Ya, seems like it's still in test mode or something?

And what's wrong with the pool? Mined over hour at ~10Khz but...
TBX Estimate: 0.14274062 TBX Unconfirmed: 0.00000000 TBX Balance: 0.00000000 TBX

I don't know, but I'm back to mining cents of I0coin with my tiny mining power (CPU and an old Nvidia) after shortly trying the pool and getting nothing.    Grin
