Silly question guys...Where is the logo on the left bottom chip?
Someone grab this guys avatar and post fail all over it. He's 7 tenths of the way there already....

Did you notice that the bottom row is "flipped", genius? (as in upside down)

Looks like there will be significant over-subscription for the second batch. How will you handle it? Some lottery or auction scheme maybe?

You guys/gals do not know how to use that tool properly.

You folks don't even know what a JPEG matrix or quantization is nor how the tool even detects changes in an image.

There is nothing wrong with the tool. There is only bad interpretation(s) and bad application(s) of this tool without understanding what it compares.

(I used it several years ago (2006 -2008) when the hacker who made (and introduced) this tool first came out with it. I read the "white" papers on some of his theory and how they detect changes.

-------------------------------

Please don't make fools of yourselves by not knowing how to use the tool properly....

This is not the original photo, you know it. I do not know what it was manipulated , It is possible that only resize. No exif also indicates manipulation.
I am not outright discouraging you.

I am just pointing out that you are using that tool in the wrong way without knowing how it's detection algorithms work and what they are intended to show.

------------------------------

You should start off with a program that can compare pixels to pixels. (not through jpeg quantification and matrix mis-matches).

I'll help you out:

http://www.abonsoft.com/pd_imagecompare.html

This is a very crappy but simple pixel level compare software. It should point out what parts are actually different if any. (without the other method which required a better understanding of what the tool actually does or how to interpret the results)

Conclusion?

Why ?

Was this photo manipulated?
Who knows ...
For me it looks the same  Grin

The most inconvenient question you can find here:
http://29a.ch/sandbox/2012/imageerrorlevelanalysis/  - Drag & Drop  Avalon's image onto this page.

Having that said the algorithm is not exactly reliable, especially with images that have been rescaled and compressed often/intensely. So take it with a pinch of salt and feel free to have a look at the simple source code.

Resizing an image will cause this tool to report "errors."

Since I am stamped as a troll in these forums anyway, by so many people I step forward and ask the inconvenient questions:

Where is the image originally from?
Why isn't it in high resolution/uncropped/with exif data?
Why aren't there tons of pictures?
Why is the right chip significantly blurrier than the U4 label next to it?

Where is the image originally from? -> http://puu.sh/1Q8qQ

Why isn't it in high resolution/uncropped/with exif data? -> Handycam/Forumsize/i never do so too

Why aren't there tons of pictures? -> From personal experience. While your at development you rarly think of this.

Why is the right chip significantly blurrier than the U4 label next to it? -> Thats simply camera focus.A closeup cannot be all clear.

Who first posted it? Where?
Why crop it?
Why not make tons of photos in the shipping stage? (Where we are supposedly at)
Then why is the top right sharper than the bottom right and the bottom left sharper than the top left?

Sorry, kano. That was just me asking a dumb question. Answer: SF express.

Sure, I'd love for someone to will-call it, then start posting pictures.
I'm pretty sure that's what that translates to also.
If caoxg wants to correct me - feel free to do so Smiley

OK, even 1 or 2 days is better than waiting for 5 to 10 days for it to get to jgarzik ...

上海用户能直接发顺丰吗?

Yes please - someone - anyone (in China)!
Go pick up the damn thing and start hashing with it.
This delay of not knowing anything about it is quite annoying.
The devices exist (apparently) have been shipped ... and we're gonna have to wait 5 to 10 days to find out for real?
Please if anyone can go visit them and pick it up ... do it!
