maybe place my order soon then for them if their really out their and awating the long awated proof of an actual one in working process. If that happens then ill be buying till then ill hold off a little longer or buy some more over at BFL lol

they entered to compete with BFL improving their hashrate at the same price, but from the beginning they said that this price would only be with the first 300 units

Well, ~1500 dollars falls somewhere in between, so at least for now it's decent pricing. Let's see how everything pans out now, with the new subdomain. Awaiting new info. Also we need to see if the competitors catch up with them in the next 1-2 months.
Anyway, they mention on the site that they plan on delivering at least 300 units weekly once production ramps up. That's 20 TH added to the network per week starting march, and that's only Avalon. Things are bound to get interesting fast.

First it was $1999 then i remember ngzhang said price for second batch will be the same as for first batch which is $1299 (altho i would not bet i remember this 100% correctly:)
I remember them saying subsequent units will be 1599$, not 1999... But I may remember wrong. Afterwards, they priced everything @ 1299$. But again, I might have got it wrong. Either way, like Sounds said above, until there's competition they can set the price. Now, a dismantling of my Icarus cluster seems to be on the horizon... Hopefully they keep the 399$ trade-in rebate.
