I apologize if this has been covered, but didn't see anything when searching.  Does BITMAIN have a recommended PSU for the S3?  I know the specs that are required, but wondering if there was a PSU that BITMAIN used in particular for their testing.

WolfSkill

I think a 850+ watt Gold or platinum psu should be fine to run two S3 miners:)

Not if you plan to overclock them it won't.  You want a < 90% load.

That's true, but there are no details yet available on overclocking yet.
But if you want to be sure get a 1000W fully modular platinum certified psu Smiley

Order expired despite having sent funds to Bitmain address on order. Can someone at Bitmain look into this for me?

Same thing happened with my order.  This happened fairly often 6 months ago or so.  You would hear people mention/complain about it fairly regularly.  Has something to do with the Blockchain API.

I *thought* they fixed it, or at least, I thought they updated the site so if you had at least *one* confirmation on the blockchain before your "hour deadline" was up, the system gave you more time instead of demanding 6 confirms in an hour...or whatever...but yeah, the problem appears to be back at a particularly unfortunate time.

Anyway, like I said, you're not alone -- I ran into the same problem.  In my case, I got 6 confirmations in about 50 minutes; but the Bitmain website still moved me to "paid/expired" anyway, so I don't know *what* the threshold is at this point.  But in the past, Bitmain always was good about fixing this -- just PM him and email [email protected] or [email protected] and tell them your order and transaction ID.  This is the first time I've had this problem actually affect me personally, but I've seen it happen to more than enough people to not start panicking quite yet. Smiley

Also remember that it's 01:58 in China right now, so you need to give Bitmain a few more hours to wake up and read/reply to all the PMs and emails.  Sometimes it helps to post your order in the thread; so I guess we'd might as well do that part so the Bitmain rep can let us know we're confirmed/okay when they get back online.

Bitmain: Can you please confirm my "expired/paid/valid/invalid" order #00120140630135825601wjzCCJF50696 (see my PM for transaction ID and other details) is okay and still scheduled to ship with everyone else's? Thanks!

All good advice, order seems to have been fixed as of this morning. Smiley

Just checked the Bitmaintech Website, and it looks like they've cleaned out their old stock. As of right now, the only product listed for sale is an S2 for delivery on July 1. Here's hoping it means new products are coming! Smiley

So, it seems someone has hacked the Bitmaintech Facebook site and is taking orders for S3s.  They are not Bitmaintech so do not send money to anyone that claims to be taking orders.

Here are the headers to the email they sent me.
