Hello,

Just wondering.... who in the UK had their Antminers stuck at customs?

As EU customs apparantly keep an eye open for Antminers... I am curious wether the same is happening in the UK...

I am curious, where did the rumor about S2 started? Do we happen to know of any expected timeline/specs?

Ya no shit...I really think that the S2 is Vaporware.

If they don't release a 28ish nm miner the S2 is dead in the water...the electricity costs will kill it.

[Does anybody have BitmainTech's contact details? They've removed it from their web site.

They just expired a paid order of mine as unpaid, even though I paid and the transaction had dozens of confirmations at the time they expired it.

I know they keep re-using their payment addresses, so I don't want it to go to the next person before they acknowledge the payment from me!

This is the first time BitmainTech has given me any problems - I've placed many orders before and had nothing but great service.]

Hey brother, mine did the same thing. First it was "unpaid " "expired"  , then "paying" "expired" , then "paid" "expired" .It appears the orders are O.K.Today it says "valid"

See quote from Bitmain below. We have no other information yet.

Will these coupons be able to be used for any new products that come out such as the S2?

When S2 comes, we will be issuing coupons again  Smiley Smiley

Double your Personal Bitcoin Funds.
HW_error% = HW/(HW+DiffA+DiffR)*100 = 2.59%

you want it to be <1%. Try bringing the clocks down slightly to 387.5MHz (about 199GH) and your error rate should drop down
Oops! My HW calculating formula is way off. I mean 2.5% is reasonable.

Question, is there a way for me to see the cgminer screen via SSH?

I've downed it to 375, will let it run same 1.5 hours and then calculate again.

ASIC Wannabe
Ok so I'm playing around with this thing and hardware failure rate is excessively high. See the image below.

Notice that I have it OC'd to 400 but even at 350 HW is excessively high.

I'm running 2 of these on a single Seasonic 1250W power supply that has more than plenty power and individual PCIe rails. Also, other unit is hashing nicely on the same PSU.

To note that I have no X's for ASIC chips, meaning all is working well but then HW should be low.

BTCG is seeing this unit as 175GHs and not 190+ as it shows in the dashboard.

Any help?

Could you tell us what means "reasonable"?
$46 for both, which includes $10 UPS clearing fee so technically $36.

I received my new 2 S1 units with reasonable customs charge.

I have a strange problem with one of them units. It's showing 151% hardware failure rate.... I mean how is that even possible?

EDIT: How in the world do I attach an image?

Bitmain,

Any hints/teasers about what the next machine will be? You're doing good things with S1's but there's a lot of competition on the horizon.
I can you give you a hint, it will be called the S2  Grin.....

I cant wait to see what they have in store! My S1's have been outstanding!

Thanks, yeah I know they don't.  I was mostly wondering if they had already been in stock before and sold out or if they just posted that as an announcement.  I haven't seen anyone selling U2 units and I haven't seen anyone with them in-hand.

Before I order a batch of 500, I'd like to see if they are going to fit in the 50 port hubs now that they have the heatsink.  I guess I'll wait and see if any pop up on the forum and wait for the stock to be replenished on the site.

Has anybody ordered U1's or U2's from Bitmain - and had any problems getting them shipped to you?  Is it basically the same deal as getting an S1 shipped in?  What I'm wondering about is whether there are potential customs issues because  your dealing with a shipment with 500 items in it - rather than just one item.

hi,
anyone got this issue?
ups status says:
Held in Warehouse

Give em a call. I used to work with FedEx.... only a part of the scans show... Reason why it is held could be customs, incorrect address, customs document missing, incomplete multiple parcel shipment....etc etc
i work with UPS, i used to order 2 units(more then one time), and everything went smoothly every time, now i orderd 3 units, and they didn't give me a call or a email to notice me that the package arrived to my country.

Well S1 is currently sold out --- I will probably order the S2 but it really depends on the hash rate and power consumption... I highly doubt that it will be priced  1.4 BTC - however 2 BTC will be the ideal spot for 300 - 400 GH/s machine.
