I am Inaba and I endorse this message.  Yeah, seriously, it's from me.
Indeed, you do endorse your alternate identity.

Congratulations Inaba (Josh?).

Hopefully you can beat that busted machine that is BFL's customer service into shape.

It'd be my suggestion to make use of both of your user accounts.  Your Inaba account where you can continue to logically decimate the idiots and be yourself, and the BFL account to be a spokesman for your new employer.

Good luck, and I hope you're able to change the public opinion that many forum members hold of BFL.

Good luck. How did that work in hindsight eh Dropt?

really bumping a post from may?? and your the only one whos commented in the last YEAR!!!! im going to call you a TOOL Shocked

Wonder what sort of questions Josh will be asked at the class action lawsuit about Eclipse and BFL?

And the story continues...

Did you mention that you sold Eclipse at this time anywhere to anyone?

That is correct.  Note that they use laptop RAM and that you'd need an mSATA SSD, as there is nowhere to fit a 2.5".

cheers - I ordered the ASUS and some RAM/mSATA from bitcoinstore, it should probably arrive before my ASICs (lol)

I shipped an i3 Intel NUC to the hosting company (J. Morgan) to run six Mini-Rigs and six Singles (only have two Mini-Rigs so far).  They haven't set it up yet, but I expect it will run great.

Hey WhitePhantom, which one did you end up purchasing, I am thinking of doing the same thing.  Did you set it all up with software before shipping it to Joe, or did you just ship it direct?

Will
This is the one I used.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856102002

I set it up with TeamViewer and then shipped it to them.  However, Joe gives all his customers a static public IP, so he had to hook it up to DHCP so I could remote in and configure the static info he gave me.

It's doing a great job with four 500GH (480, really...) rigs and six Single SCs, so that's the same as running 38 Single SCs on the i3 NUC.

I later purchased an i7 Gigabyte BRIX for home use and found the BIOS options to be far superior to the Intel NUC, so I'd have to recommend the i3 BRIX over a NUC.

thanks for the info - am I right that I would need to buy SSD and memory separately?

Update: 2x working Singles (~60GH each), 2x dead BFL-supplied PSUs.

You can see an example of the dead PSU on the left side of this picture (the PSU is on the left, the miner on the right):
     https://twitter.com/jgarzik/status/364783173869113344/photo/1

Had to purchase third party PSUs at Fry's, and fashion wires out of a child's toy, but the miners are happily mining.

Or just buy a proper PSU with PCIe connectors on it ......... like is in almost every desktop computer now-a-days Tongue

That's what I did -- but modern ATX often requires shorting a pin, to turn on the PSU.

See http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/other/22

Cut a small metal paper clip in half ... slightly wider than two pins so it has pressure to keep it in place.

Knowing that chickens eat anything and everything, I have a feeling as to how the bodies were disposed of.

That... may actually come in handy some time. Thanks.

You and hubby been havin' a few spats lately?  Grin

Oh, no. Hubby and I are fine. 14 happy years and we're still acting like newlyweds. It's, just, you know... just in case.

I'm worried something bad has happened to Josh. Last post from BFL_Josh, October 05, 2012, 11:26:27 PM. I hope he's ok.

Saw him at San Jose conference in May. He was looking very frazzled, but otherwise ok.
