If I had a dollar for every time someone said xxx amount of Bitcoin is not worth my time over the history of Bitcoin I would be a billionaire by now.

FYI you should be mining 1500-2k satoshis a day per unit. Keep in mind it takes at least 24 hours for your pool hashrate to stabilize and be able to show you how much BTC your earning accurately. And yes those 1-2k satoshis will have been more than worth your time in hindsight.

Stack those sats.

If they were mining as expected then I would have no reason to be disappointed.  They just aren't.  I can accept that maybe the issue is that these don't play well with Nicehash, although someone stated they did.  I am not having that experience.  Until I take the time to set them up on a different pool I guess I really shouldn't comment any further.  I will say that I've been in the community for several years longer than you, and have mined with just about every miner that has existed since the FPGA days (I was one of the first customers to ever mine with an ASIC), but I do appreciate your urge that I stack sats...  I also do respect what you've built.  I couldn't have done it.  I just wish I was getting more than 50% of the expected hashrate.

I know, and its quite an honor you purchased some of our units! I still remember some 400 dollars worth of PSUs you had helped escrow for 2BTC back in the day haha...those turned out to be some expensive PSUs  Cheesy

I went ahead and switched them over to Slush from Nicehash.  The difference was noticeable immediately.  I'll give another update once the hashrate has had a chance to settle down, but I think they will do much better hashing there.  They just don't seem to play nice with Nicehash, which is a bit ironic.  Smiley  On the plus side, I fired up my old Slush account that hasn't been used in half a decade and was surprised to find $167 sitting in my wallet.  I'm guessing that wasn't worth worrying about when I left it there.  Pretty cool Slush Pool hung onto it for me.  That will also be a nice boost towards getting to the free payout threshold which makes this change much more bearable.

Slush are great; I had nearly 1BTC sitting there and my account hadn't been used for a long time. For some reason my account was inactive but messaged support and got it all back up and running complete with the 1BTC there. Granted this was when prices were a lot lower but it wasn't an insignificant amount of money either. Great pool, great people

Hi, hope this helps.

These are recent results, but elecktrickery is ridiculously expensive for me in the UK, and due to increase when my 1 yr fix ends in feb, and rumours in UK news that it will then increase by approx 50% in April, ouch!
Already paying almost £0.17 per KWH at moment, but at least this miner is going to make a little less than it costs to run, and if we get a good BTC price increase that we all believe must happen, then it will have been well worth while, a nice little way to buy a small amount of BTC each month.

Anyway to my results.

I got my notification and can't wait to try out one of these bad boys.  Great to know they're getting out the door.

Received my miners today and they're now up and running without too much difficulty in their setup.  Pool is showing them bouncing around between 2.5th/s and 3.5th/s which I believe is probably normal.  Sound levels are nonexistent in the room with my GPUs.  They are pretty much exactly what I expected (having to run multiple instances of the mining software was the only real surprise).  Granted I wish mining profitability was a little better currently, but you can't have it all.

Can you elaborate on the multiple instances piece? What do you mean exactly? Is this for each standard unit connected to the main one?

I'm not running them off a main unit.  I am running them individually connected to a PC.  Right now they're making about 800 satoshis a day each, which I can't imagine is worth the time I'm taking to post this this.  So I'm obviously a bit disappointed.  Maybe when I switch to another pool they will be able to mine a little better, of course by separating them from the rest of my miners there will be increased fees for withdrawals and a slower time to reach a payout amount worth an additional input when it's eventually spent.  Maybe I'm doing something wrong or just plain dumb, but I don't think these miners would be profitable for most, if any of the users buying them when you consider residential electricity costs and the idea of cooling in the summer.  It was close with the given specs.  Real life usage, not so much.  As a space heater they're ok.

800 sats would mean less than $10 a month at current rates. Which PSU are you using? The advertised 3.8TH/s cannot be achieved with the bundled 200W PSU and requires more watts. Which hashrate do your miners achieve?

Our FutureBit 200W power supply is limited to ~ 3 TH/s, 3.8 TH/s is only achievable with an external > 300 watt power supply.

Maybe a hair premature on my part.  Looks like while the label was printed, there is still yet to be a package sent to the shipper.  I'll update when I have the product in my hand, or maybe once the package is actually shipped.  Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up.  On the plus side, they seem to be shipping from nearby, so once the package is in route I'm sure it will be a quick process.  I'm guessing they're packaging and getting these units out the door as quickly as possible and perhaps are working through a giant stack of shipping labels.

Yea it can take a few days before they get to fedex after we issue a label, everything should be picked up by tomorrow. Yea this was a huge week, production is cranking them out but we are understaffed on the packaging/shipping side since half the team got covid  Undecided

I also see these bad boys selling on eBay at a decent profit (more than double the cost) which is extremely tempting given the current situation.  I may try and unload one to get all my BTC back now that prices are lower, or I may just enjoy mining BTC silently in my office like the old days.  For now, I'm enjoying watching the red lights blink.

Nice!  Did you get any notification it was shipped or did it just show up?  Was it sent to your mailbox or dropped off via fedex or ups?  I'm just curious if I should be keeping my eyes on my mailbox, door, or email box.  Thanks!

Next time drop us some pictures man.  You seem to be the first guy to get one from the latest batch and we're all chomping at the bit for something we can lay our eyes on.   Shocked

You will get a notification before your unit leave the factory with a tracking number. We ship via fedex.

Awesome.  I got my notification and can't wait to try out one of these bad boys.  Great to know they're getting out the door.  Will try and put up some pics when it arrives unless someone beats me to it or I get too busy (or lazy, nah that doesn't happen).  Looking forward to that alert from my security cams that a fedex man has just left me a present.  Smiley

Any last words of advice for new Apollo owners as these start showing up on doorsteps?
