Now what's the math here 6.21 PIV from 13.50 PIV went to Miners/Stakers and remaining is 7.29 PIV while estimation about daily payout / MN is 5.59 PIV.

I think 7.29 PIV is to be distributed with all MN and according to some previous statistics they estimate that total payout would be around 5.59 PIV for every MN for today.

Am I right? (Cryptos are tough nuts to crack )

In newbie terms I can sum up what I've learned till now is that staking is same as setting up master node BUT you don't freeze 10,000 PIV instead whatever you have you can freeze and earn some reward and as in setting up MN you mostly put in place VPS which has more CPU/RAM/DISK power but with staking your home computer does fine.

A way to generate coins. In proof of work (PoW), new coins are generated by mining (literally, a reward for solving puzzles using a computer or ASIC). In proof of stake (PoS), coin holders are rewarded for holding their coins with a few new 'minted' coins. Think of it as sort of analogous (but not really!) to interest in a savings account. Staking simply means to hold coins in your wallet for the purpose of gaining these rewards.

PIVX was PoW during its first phase, and now uses a combination of masternodes and PoS to add a few extra coins to the supply. The number/block is determined by a formula listed in the OP and whitepapers. Every reward method has its pros and cons; by combining methods, PIVX aims for a happy medium.

And yes, something like DASH. But there are important differences--again, check out the whitepapers in the OP and on the website, or speak with the Devs on Slack.

Definitely read up and learn what you're getting yourself into, but if you want the TL;DR version....

This applies to pretty well any coin out there. Make an account with Bittrex or Cryptopia (or whatever exchange you like, but those are your best bests for PIVX). Find your BTC wallet address in whatever exchange you join. Send BTC to that address. Go to the BTC-PIVX market of your chosen exchange, and place a bid for X PIVX at Y price. If you don't care what you pay, you can make an immediate purchase at whatever the current asking price is. If you want to bid below the current asking price, your order will stay until it is filled--what you bid depends on what you think the price of PIVX is going to do going forward. Once purchased, your PIVX will be in your PIVX wallet at the exchange. If you want to sell again soon you can leave coins at the exchange, but you will not be able to stake them. Generally, you should withdraw your coins to your own PIVX wallet, which you'll have to download and install via the OP or PIVX website. Once the wallet is installed on your computer, withdraw your coins from your exchange wallet to the address of your own wallet. They should appear in seconds. Make sure to encrypt your wallet using a strong passphrase (under 'Settings'), and then unlock your wallet 'for staking etc. only'--this will allow your coins to stake, so long as you leave the wallet running. Note that some people are having occasional crashes with the most recent wallet, so be prepared for that or wait a little for the next release. The Devs are very efficient and usually fix these kinds of bugs quickly. (Note that a wallet crash doesn't mean your coins are lost; just that the wallet program acts up sometimes. It might be scary for a first-time user, but it's not usually a big deal.)

Hi, first of all i think you should read as much as you can about bitcoin/block chain technology. If you want to gamble directly you could send your btc to bittrex or cryptopia who trade btc/pivx (2nd and 3rd biggest altcoin exchanges).

0 crashes, Ubuntu 16.4 will be 5 days now strict POS, u probably have lib corrupt/drive etc, try setting up brand new machine preferably latest ubuntu do dist upgrade update and compile binaries from sources (stable git release latest), should be 0 problems
