How would you explain what Potentiam does to a common person on the street, unfamiliar with blockchain?

Hi deeltje, good question! There are so many ways to describe Potentiam to a common person on the street unfamiliar with blockchain
" A rewarding music social media network"
" The facebook of music"
" A unique place for artists and fans to connect and collaborate"
" An incentivised music social network"

I feel like Myspace tried to become the 'Facebook of music' after it lost most of it's users. What will you do that they didn't try? How do you incentivize it?

Hi, for starters they did not pay their users for participating on their network. They do not have our methodology of governance on the network. Neither could artists truly generate capital. Most importantly they are not us.

How do artists generate capital on your platform? They sell songs for tokens?

Hi, the artists generate capital on the network in various ways. One such way is the crowdfunding aspects of the network, where participants are given tokens as an access key to music creatives content. They can receive capital from brands/individuals advertising on their personal feed. And even playing the part of an influencer on the network. Also, the sale of merchandise on the network.

That's cool. And can you possibly list a couple of the main ways the regular users (that is, non-artists) can generate tokens?

Have you guys considered any advantages to using machine learning on your platform?

I see your pre-ICO is coming up, what will the price be during this period?

Hi, the price is $0.41 to 1 PTM. We will offer bonuses to the early adopters and we will confirm the bonus structure shortly.

Excited to read more about your bonuses. Think you'll have them up today or tomorrow?

Will any part of the project be open source?

I believe we are going to have some things on open source, but its quite difficult to give a definitive answer as we are building a private chain. I will speak to our CTO and find out more on this subject. Please bear with us.

Appreciate your answer. Maybe you guys could leave the less sensitive stuff as open source?

We will certainly try to keep things on open source as long as it doesn't compromise the security of the network.

Makes total sense. What will you guys do with unsold tokens?

We are considering two options at the moment but we are undecided as it stands. One is to lock the unsold tokens and the other is to simply burn it. Whatever decision we end up making has to be one that serves the bigger purpose of the network that is the users. I will revisit this question and give a more definitive answer soon.

What are the advantages of burning them vs locking them?

I believe burning increases consumer confidence opposed to locking it, as consumers might fear project owners dumping the token if there is a rise in price. But at the same time locking also has positive attributes if done openly and honestly. The tokens can be gradually introduced into the network to raise market capital if needed.

Oh yeah I see. If burned, it makes all the coins that were sold worth more right? If there's a large pool of tokens locked, that would make each token worth less overall.

I like your idea, is your token a security or utility?

Hi, we have researched extensively and carefully structured the token to be an app token, meaning its a utility token. It serves the purpose of granting access into the Potentiam network. It does not have characteristics of a security in way or form.

That's great, I'd have to agree too. So no legal team necessary?

Hi, yes a legal team is not necessary though we have had consultations with some. However, we are going to retain the services of one eventually because of possible changes and adjustments to the law surrounding cryptocurrency.

Good looking out for the future! Could there be any issues with illegal file sharing of music on your platform?

The network is focusing on original content providers i.e full right owners introducing their content on the network. As this is the case we do not see any problems, but we will be prepared anyway. When content is put on the network the moderators would act and take it off. We are planning to be compliant with existing laws.

What separates this project from the previous music related projects? e.g. viberate, opus

Hi, the Potentiam music project is one of a kind. It is merging the principles of social media and music, creating a balanced blend. Where everyone on the music supply chain can benefit by collaborating together. It does not focus on just a part of the music industry, but it confronts the industry has a whole. The founders of Potentiam have worked in music management and also run a music discovery platform britznbeatz, so they are well too aware of how the business works. The purpose of Potentiam is to avert the major problems music creatives face i.e capital, exposure, and revenue distribution.

The music industry needs something exactly like this. All the power is in way too few people's hands. How exactly does Potentiam allow people to collaborate more easily?

Hi, You are very correct too much power in few hands. Potentiam is a music social network which will have P2P messenger type service. So music creatives can communicate with each other directly and any agreement entered into is enforced with the use of smart contracts thereby eliminating the need for middlemen. It is a simple yet ideal.

It's simple, yet groundbreaking. This sort of technology could benefit just about any current social media platform. Will you guys have any patents for this?

Great question, we are going to try to, hence we have not released some information on some specialist tools on the network.

You guys should really try to file that patent asap, since it comes down to whoever files for it first. Big companies are filing new patents by the dozen every day.

Very true and we are well aware of this. Thanks for the kind advice.

Haha, I just realized how patronizing I sounded. I apologize, I'm sure your team is well aware of anything I could come up with on my own in only a few minutes.

Do you have any type of user statistics you are expecting on the network when finished?

Hi, we have created forecasts for the adoption of the project for the next 4 years I believe.
We created for the user model on the network, for the crowdfunding model and the potent vault adoption.
To see more of this you can request the exact detail from admin on telegram: t.me/potentiamgroup
We are leaving no stones unturned.

Thanks

I appreciate your detailed response, I'll get on Telegram to get a look at these projections. What would you say is the next big hurdle for Potentiam?

Surely you guys are already preparing for the next obstacle, just curious what you anticipate it to be.

 Huh
