The devs have stated that they will use AI and manual checks of users and ratings in order to prevent this kind of abuse. However, your concerns and questions are valid. This will probably be their biggest task to solve before going live.

Few pages back they answered the question, in theory seemed reasonable, i don't remember the details, but ill wait to try it first hand before to form a judgement.

I don't think any team is doing that these days, they'll be having a roadmap already and most of the team members are just concentrate on the token sale so that they can get enough funds to start the project.
Still reading the whitepaper, I think we need something like this in real world.
