Based on QBC's dev and launch date's the country coin fad was already over, so I would say this is in fact for Quebec Smiley

QBC story came full circle for me tonight...

Friday 11 April 2014 - I stumbled on http://bitcoinembassy.ca/ during my break-time web surfing... Research led to another and I ended up reading this QBC launch thread.

Friday 18 April 2014 - I was off work and up for a long and laid bacl easter week-end. I rode the QBC launch with all the excitement (pools war and etc) throught out dinners with familly.

Friday 25 April 2014 -  I'm trading tweets with a guy who did a nice Bitcoin interview in French ([Suspicious link removed]/E7dSxN). Only to find out the guy is actually the Public Relation director of http://bitcoinembassy.ca/ ahaha

Inb4 cool story bro... Roll Eyes

As someone has already stated, one issue regarding price is that the nation coin fad seems to have died down. So referencing spaincoin pumps or similar prices probably don't apply. So no pumps yet, and less price activity based on normal nation coin things, like airdrops. That was one of my concerns about the coin, as without the normal nation coin promo stuff, less people may be interested to start with ... then lower prices. It doesn't help that the coin is only on bittrex.

So long as the coin gets on a bigger exchange and some promotion occurs, including the giveaways to some quebec people like has been planned, I think the price will bounce up a bit. Multipool should help some too. I am not sure if it'd be a good idea to go too slow with it though, as the longer the dev waits, the greater the chance people will just forget about the coin. If poloniex doesn't take the coin, I'm not sure where else to look ... as other places are even smaller or are at best on par with bittrex volume.

It is weird how quickly fads change in cryptoworld. We went from memes, to nation coins, to pos + multipool + giveaway in like 10 weeks or so. Just during the delay between this coin's ann and its release, an entire coin fad sort of changed.

But you need to understand crypto-currencies / blockchain technology is like a 3D graph. There will be all sort of things and technologies created around it. In 5-10-50 years it might be cool to collect coins as opposed to spend them. Or somehing else we never really expected them to become. 10 years seems like for ever when you are following something as close as we are. But in the grand-scheme of things it's fuck all. Look at the rate technology/science has been evolving the past 20 years... it's unbelivable. We're on fast-forward.  Shocked

Guys,
We can have a blog post on this  : http://www.geekbecois.com/
I'm not good in writing, so can someone write an interesting article on QBC and I'll have it published?
Edit: En francais seulement svp. French only please.

Gah, j'aimerais aider! But my French is terrible. I cheated my way throught it in CEGEP (College) and I've been slowly loosing it over the past couple years. But I'm currently re-shaping this http://imgur.com/1t0674a into into a French/Quebecer "pamphlet" and hope to shape it in some form of QBC version with high level crypto-currencies information. I'll have my mommy correct it :B rofl...

Yeah volume is slow, I'm sorry about that for the moment but POS coins with multipools (almost exclusively blackcoin clones with a different color?) are all the hype these days, stealing focus from others. Behind the scenes I'm working on making two things available in the next few weeks : A QBC multipool and a QBC Android Wallet.

With the current volume, a multipool will drive up price quite quickly, right now it takes half a bitcoin to buy QBC up to 0.0003, not very hard to do.

I think with these two tools we'll be able to move forward a lot better, like someone said, the entire IPO is just a drop in the ocean, no one will end up losing money on QBC, except if you were foolish enough to sell lower than the IPO price!

We can't expect the "old Bit heads" to be excited about Quebecoin. I mean the ones who know a lot about crypto currencies - These guys know better... They've seen shit! And until the pre-mine is locked, most of them wont give a single F.

The biggest IPO investment was barely 1500$? The whole IPO (20 BTC) was worth about 10,000$ at the time of creation. That's piss in the ocean.

Anyone in this thread that was here for a quick profit à-la AUR 2.0 should really get their shit together. Because the Quebecers themselves are not YET ready to make this coin jump in value spectacularly. But we are the ones who will make or break QBC over the year(s).

It took me 3 hours to fill in all the paperwork for my Vault of Satoshi account. It takes 3 days for money to be transferred. It is, and will be very easy for Quebecers and Canadians to get into QBC. But it'll need more time. The people need to learn about the technology first, and the options second. The media barely talked about Bticoin around here. When they did, most of them told everyone how unstable and obscure it.

On top of that, most of the information about it is in English. There's little to no fun & easy to understand information in French. Not that I know of at least... FYI - Most Quebecers speaks very little English and quite a lot of them do not speak it AT ALL.
