I opened a deposit for 3 months. I deposited 1,200 and I'm supposed to receive 2,300 by the end of the deposit. Not bad. I'm not interested in selling this coin considering the small amount of coins I have and the low price it has currently. I like the yield for a 1 month term deposit but I'll give this project more time.

All my deposits are between 6 and 12 month. The coin is in start phase at the moment, so it's a good idea to make long deposit with great interest rates. Cool

Merry Christmas to the roicoin community and to the dev team!!

Any news on the cluster mining JSON err? I am also getting this error, which is preventing me from mining consistently. The wallet solo miner is hard on my CPU (all threads maxed, even though only one is specified) while using the cluster miner seems to spread the load on my CPU more evenly/efficiently. I really would like to get back to cluster mining as soon as possible.

Also, I've almost fully compiled hodlminer-optiminer for OSX if anyone else was looking for it. I've finally got the makefile to compile (goddang OSX not complying to POSIX optional standards took me a while to address) and my next step is to run the binary through a debugger to figure out what's causing an "Illegal instruction: 4" runtime error.

How to Solo Mine the wallet without the junk miner built in the wallet.

1st go to %appdata%/ROICOIN/

Make a file called ROIcoin.conf

Paste this in to it.

Code:
rpcuser=mine
rpcpassword=miner
rpcallowip=0.0.0.0/0
rpcport=23110
rpcthreads=40
server=1
daemon=1
gen=0
miningaddress=RJsFF8fgC7QVYvVSa93x8J2VhTtiS1mtwz

RPCport = 3377
addnode=138.197.172.223
addnode=165.227.10.125
addnode=159.203.91.200
addnode=99.198.174.212

Now save.

Now download HODLminer by woolf http://cryptomining-blog.com/wp-content/download/hodlminer-wolf-2.zip

Edit the bat file

Code:
hodlminer.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:23110 -u mine -p miner -t 40 -q -D --coinbase-addr=RJsFF8fgC7QVYvVSa93x8J2VhTtiS1mtwz

And you are good to go.

Dont forget to change wallet key for your own and change the amount of threads "-t"

If I helped you donate to me here   RJsFF8fgC7QVYvVSa93x8J2VhTtiS1mtwz

Note: this is a old post/small tut I did to solo mine your wallet. You will need to look over the last few pages of the forum to get updated node info. You can use the miners from the cluster pool to get the most from your CPU speed.

Im not home at the min so its abit diff for me to get you all the info without tolling all over the shop.

Hope this helps you.

Regards,

Raster.

Hi. Been mining on cluster last night and no payment to wallet. Day before this, mined for 10 hours and I got around 3 blocks worth of coins. Why no income for last night?

Probably because you didn't mine any blocks last night. Solo/Cluster mining doesn't provide steady income of coins. Some day you mine 12 blocks a day, other day you mine 0.

Thanks for clearing this up for me Wink

Also, thx @cryptoRX for the explanation

Cluster mining is not the same as pool mining.

In pool mining, you get a cut of every single block that was found by the pool. That guarantees a steady if low income.

In cluster mining, you only get the reward if your cpu solves the block. If your cpu doesn't solve any block, you don't get anything.

Hello World!
From what i understand nicehash is up again and i see in pool some adress that mine with 30 and 31kh/s. I don't think that's fair
All of us with some poor cpu that mine in this pool look like a joke compaire with those who rent  hash power from sitse like nicehash

One miner is at 80.32 KH/s right now.  Shocked

If you had enough money to mine at that hash rate you would.

Is it fair?? It's life. It's how pools work.

The cluster pool on the other hand is a much fairer way of doing things. I believe it's a bit unstable at the moment but I have no doubt that will be stored quickly.
Yeah, maybe you are right !
On the other hand if i had money i invest in some asic or some rig full of vga cards  Tongue

Well, all we can do is just wait... Price for ROI is going down because of all people mining dumping coin in coinsmarkets and at some point it will be not profitable to mine with NiceHash.

I've been having this issue where the wallet stops mining after a few hours, this is already reported on Github but I'm wondering if there are others affected as well. I only know of 1 other person having this issue.

2017-12-22 05:10:54 ROIcoinMiner: Mining to keypool address.
2017-12-22 05:10:54 CreateNewBlock(): total size 1508
2017-12-22 05:10:54 CreateNewBlock(): nfees 32431807358
2017-12-22 05:10:54 ERROR: ConnectBlock(): coinbase pays too much (actual=44431807358 vs limit=12000002545)
2017-12-22 05:10:54 ROIcoinMiner runtime error: CreateNewBlock(): TestBlockValidity failed
2017-12-22 05:10:54 keypool return 77

It did not start right after the fork for me, but some time afterwards. After the fork it was ok for a couple of days and I was able to mine a few blocks. I've tried restarting my machine, re-installing the wallet but nothing helps. Right now mining is impossible for me.

Hi , I don't understand what you want, I can unzip this file and then use -loadblock=bootstrap.dat commandline parameter with the v1.1 ROIcoind or ROIcoin-qt program to sync the chain, its able to fully sync without any issues for me.
