A pool having more than 50% of the network, as far as i understand it is not 'too much' of a problem for a short period of time, its only a problem in that you could lose half the network if it goes down and the 51% attack.. but thats only going to happen if he actively does it. Which is unlikely as it would kill the coin and he has a fair stake in it as he has been mining with 10mh/s + since the beginning
Thank-you for this, the 51% paranoia gets a little much. The attack requires that much hashing power for a sustained period of time, as well as a bad actor. If he closes registration and the other pools pick up some volume, problem solved.
