The Klondike Mining Stores are now open for your hot-potato-chain-game-playing pleasure! Described by dogecoin devs as the "adorable little ponzi scheme", I've now ported the game to Klondike in the form of Klondike Mining Stores Cheesy

Come and play @ Klondike Mining Stores

First up, I'll say this right off the bat -- this is a chain game. If you regard ALL chain games as scams, then you are not going to feel any differently about this one! I am saying this right here to save the mods from doing it Smiley

You sponsor an item for a given price. When someone else takes over that item's sponsorship, you get your original sponsorship amount back plus a profit.

If an item is not re-sponsored in a given time frame, it expires, and you don't get any profit (but you still get back a consolation prize equal to a percentage of your original stake).

There's optional email notification, and as usual I'm easy to get in touch with in the case of any problems Smiley

Any questions, comments or suggestions are very welcome.

I love the game!  Thanks !!!

I'm sponsoring the Pan right now Smiley

www.CoinMarket.io will be adding KDC/BTC soon.

Please wait, we are looking for a somehow coordinated hit on exchange(s).

Situation should be reviewed by Dev and community first.

I don't think they really need the dev's permission.

We need a release valve anyway.

I know, every exchange can do what ever they want. However, a bit of coordination in terms of marketing will be good for the coin value and will not harm the exchange. We can celebrate the day of 'IPO' in the forum / twitter / FB ... and gain attention. Why lose this chance? It's win win.

Am curious what "soon" entails?

This news made me switch back to KDCs after having been away for a day or two. We'll see what the next difficulty has in store...

damned, almost 300 MH/s. I still need some coins ....

{
"blocks" : 23479,
"currentblocksize" : 0,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 2.96829908,
"errors" : "",
"generate" : false,
"genproclimit" : -1,
"hashespersec" : 0,
"networkhashps" : 299446671,
"pooledtx" : 0,
"testnet" : false
}

We actually got really lucky when the diff switched. We're actually supposed to be much higher then we are right now. A bunch of miners must have stopped mining right before the diff changed, that way it would drop. Then picked right back up with a new, lower diff.

The estimate for now is over 4, and we snuck in at 2.9

We should not use Discovery Channel Material to promote our coin. Reusing their image promoting their show, may be no problem. Anyway, including an image someone else own, could cause problems. Basically not for the coin but for the forum owner. Linking to an image or webpage always is legal.

What do you guys think?  Should I remove the post?  (I made some minor changes - take a look and tell me what you think).  I don't wanna harm anyone by promoting the coin

As it is now, you promote their show, so it should be fine.

But how to promote our coin on the wave of the TV Show? I'm not familiar with Twitter + FB Marketing, but that's maybe easy for everyone with an account. #Klondike Tweet is shown on their website http://social-saloon.klondiketv.com/ --> Please spread the word.

Of course, it is not easy to get ppl outside of the crypto currency world to buy Klondikecoins, but we can try it. I have added a comment here http://www.tv.com/shows/klondike-2014/community/post/klondike-discovery-review-138999940130/ so everyone can search for pages related to the TV show and add some comments and links.

Dev, maybe you can add some "Crypto Currencies for Beginners" (Trading and/or Mining) to the website.

No one is going to sell 1500 for $30 lol. Ask the person who wrote that and triple that price. Bet they still say no.

thing is there's no real "price" set yet.  That's where an exchange comes in. Anyone selling 1500 for $30 let me know Wink

I made an ann here

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-klondike-epic-422090

Thanks to Rendering for the pointers!!!

Please reply to it on the original thread to keep it alive on the 1st page  Grin

That's all folks Roll Eyes

Nice work Smiley

One thing i would say is careful on the KDC / discovery channel. Need to make it clear we're not affiliated so we don't end up like coinye lol. If anything we're promoting their show but i'm just being over cautious Smiley
Well they can't really sue Klondike because they launch a TV-show AFTER this coin launched. And if they sue KDC because it's a name of the location we can also sue Earthcoin etc. Plus themselves, afaik there is nothing saying you can't use a country, city or location as a product Smiley At least not in Sweden.

True Smiley I mean't more using their images and associating with the TV show heavily. I'm sure it won't be a problem but just thought i'd throw it out there Cheesy

Guys coinarmy still has more than 50% of the net hash rate! CORRECTION: Is way to close to having 50%. Please distribute yourselves! Moving to another strong pool will not lose you any coins per day.
Yeah true Smiley But I guess they love the marketing too. Actually you could try to contact them and see if it's okay if you use their show to market this coin. Tell them that it's a pretty successful coin and it will be a win-win situation since they will get more viewers at the same time we get more miners Smiley
