hi, blockchain has stopped on cryptoid ? https://chainz.cryptoid.info/slr/#

I saw that.  They said they updated, but I'll need to see what happened.

Whoever's mining, thanks!  It looks like miningpoolhub shut down an hour ago.

PoW is done, wallet server does NOT mine after 830000, as expected.
Thank you!

SolarCoin Community,

Please do not move coins to exchanges or exchange any coins until we have confirmed that all exchanges have updated to 2.0.1.  You may move your coins off the exchanges to stake them, but please do so BEFORE we hit height 830000.  I have seen, all too often, people trying to move coins after a hard fork only to have them lost because the exchange was on the wrong chain.

~6 more hours!

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Guys,

Just to clarify something...

In order to stake, the wallet program needs to be open but it can still remain encrypted.
We do not need to remove the passwords in order to stake.
Is that correct?

That is correct.

There's really not anything to do but run the wallet and wait for 400 more blocks.  Smiley

Just so I'm clear... I've been away for a little while. Cheesy

The best way to secure the move into this new fork is for all of us, particularly large holders like myself, to have the new wallet open and staking going into Block 830,000, right? ~25 hours from now?

Yes, the wallet stakes by default so you have to manually turn off staking to not stake.

The interest rate will be high initially until an equilibrium is reached.  In testnet, this took several days.  So you should see some good earnings right after 830k.

Thank you Steve!
One suggestion (just a thought..)- in next release we might want to add a note on the pop-up window that appears when turning off staking, as well as when exiting the wallet application altogether - some reminder that running the wallet application with staking turned on increases the SLR blockchain stability.
Thanks!

Wallet needs to be open and running 24/7 to earn coins.

I have the same question as Epiphany!
Does staking start automatically when the wallet is open? do I need to leave my wallet open at all times?
If I understand correctly staking will start in a few hours at block 830000?
