github has no updates since 2018,explorer and site are not available,no discord or telegram. Only yobit manipulation i guess.

As far as I know there is still an active Discord. The most recent invite link is somewhere a few pages back. It's probably expired now though. I don't know if the dev is pumping and dumping but you're right regarding the rest. SDHarley has stepped away and left the coin to rot but he's still active in this thread. He said this in March:

All I'm going to say is that I did nothing of the sort. I didn't dump and abandon. If the accuser can prove otherwise please post it publicly because it wasn't me.

And on the wallet maintenance related points, what is the blockchain doing? If it's not moving, that's why the wallet is in maintenance.

The Discord group still exists and is growing. There is still a chance for what I started if anybody wants to pick it up.

So if you know anyone who wants to pick this up, please do. I will say, the biggest mistake the dev made was choosing such an extreme algorithm. No one wants to mine this coin because it costs way to much. I think the coin would have gained so much more support with an algo that would allow people to mine at home with GPU setup. Just my 2 cents.

old dev receives many messages about others who wanna take over the project but he's not interested!!

Hi Michael,

I am not on the team anymore but with regards to the interests of those who are left in, it may be best that you connect to the discord group and enquire there.

Cheers, Mark.

Hey Guys,

Hope all is well

As we're now entering another bullish crypto market, we want to help position SOCC become a major leader in the space before things REALLY heat up.

We'll help grow the SocialCoin community through press, media, ads, and shoutouts.

We're so confident in SOCC that we're willing to invest in all the upfront costs of promotions, and only accept compensation if key targets and metrics are met. Strictly performance-based.

Let us know your thoughts, and we'd be happy to send through our full marketing/distribution plans to for SocialCoin.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Who holds 24372124.00000000 SOCC New team?
http://socc.midnightminer.net/address/SZEyZGhhd2ioEdy3PeXYTcB9RyUJhmrjVR
Big amount!!

If you read my post above, you would have read that I have identified it as a YoBit wallet.

I know this because I can trace it back from the Tx where I withdrew SOCC coins from YoBit in February.

There is nothing sinister about this wallet or having that amount of coins in one wallet address.  YoBit was most likely doing some maintenance and amalgamating all the small amounts together into a hot wallet.

Hey nice to see that you are interested in Socc care to join the discord?

Shortly before what I considered to be the official explorer went offline it showed vastly less blocks found than prohashing’s explorer claimed. So maybe Yobit have updated then. Quite why the wallet is in maintenance though, in that case, I don’t know. The good doctor will claim conspiracy, but whatever.

Hey Harley, you are saying that others can pick up the project to continue building it , but if I ask you what are the 3 first things that you feel should happen to redress this project, what you would say ? Also there 24372124 in the top wallet , how are they distributed if someone is able to step it and deliver value ?

No idea on the owner or distribution of the top wallet. That amount looks very unbalanced. Actions would be to confirm and secure blockchain source then ascend to block height to ensure original chain has control. This all assumes somebody wants it as a going concern and doesn’t want to start over with a token swap. I wouldn’t want to, not now. I’m still working on this for COMC but SOCC is in a different place with people actually invested in it. Then later would look to redevelop info PoS hybrid. I’d been convinced by others to take it in that direction before it all went south. Still think it’s the thing to do.

Are you sure you’re pointing at the same blockchain as the Yobit source? I’ll say one thing about Yobit and that’s they’re pretty crap at updating source. Since SOCC was forked and then attacked I’m no longer sure which source they’ll have compiled.

On Feb 13th the wallet on YObit was online and I xfered out some SocialCoin to my wallet to test if they were on the right chain.

The transfer worked, that is one of the tests I perform before I dedicate any time or effort into a coin.  If the exchange is not on the right chain I won't bother.

Since the time of my test transaction, the wallet went into maintenance, but I see no reason or issues on the blockchian to cause this.

Usually, Yobit auto-drops wallets for stale blockchains to maintenance mode. This happened a lot in the beginning of SOCC when there wasn't enough hash power to push the block forward. But, if prohashing is on the correct blockchain then it looks like there's plenty of activity even today. https://prohashing.com/explorer/Socialcoin/ So I'm guessing it's something on yobit side.

Yes, and also my Block Explorer and Pool show the same chain.

Looking at on of the YObit wallet addresses, it looks like they were doing some wallet maintenance up until Feb 17th:
http://socc.midnightminer.net/address/SZEyZGhhd2ioEdy3PeXYTcB9RyUJhmrjVR

Then there was a mini pump on the coin on March 9th while the wallet was in maintenance.... not to sure what to make of the mini pump.
