sorry, but the latest nis5 release with double hashrate is very, very unstable on my windows machines...   everything crashes after 20-50 minutes of work...

Maybe you need to lower clocks of your graphic cards.

nothing to do...   exe is very unstable

i have 3 rigs, and all 3 rigs returned back to old sgminer-talkcoin

Weird I don't have such problems.

How many hours is running continously your rig ?

Over night, so I suppose about 10 hours.

my six R9-290 do not want to run more then 30-50 min using this optimized nist5 sgminer.exe. I tried lowering gpu-memclock, gpu-engine, intensity but it was not useful.

I'll try to recompile a new exe on my windows PC and test it again

I had the same issue, my 270s and 280s are fine, the 290s were rebooting using the same core and memclock settings from the old miner...

I was using the official miner so I was only playing with intensity.  I got one of my 290 rigs stable by bringing clock back to factory spec and lowering intensity to 19.

I haven't touched TC or threads or anything yet, I will have a play soon and let you know how I get on...

yes, R9-290 and R9-290X are more difficult to be set.
I am testing with --thread-concurrency 8192 and --gpu-memclock 1250 directly inside sgminer.conf and it seems more stable then before...  more tests will come out in the following hours...
I'll keep you informed

try running without ANY arguements. Just the pools
ANother option - use CGWatcher. Works like charm, set it to restart miner if no shares for 1min or working devices are lower than X.

I strongly suspect it hangs when I put --thread-concurrency higher then 8192

Now I am testing again but setting manually --thread-concurrency 8192 to see if my R9-290 are more stable...  I'll let you know

What is the config for 280X? I have this same configuration and any GPU mine at 7,27 Mh/s with sgminer of djm34. Thanks in advance. (Sorry for my english)

Update your drivers to 14.6 beta.
ANd be sure NOT to install goddamned AMD AHCI drivers Sad
made my windows completely unbootable - even in safe mode :O
Had to reinstall, because the reason for the crash was identified after second "dead windows"... removing AHCI driver solved the problem...

Can`t compile in BATM.
Anyway as I uderstand I need 14.6 drivers for new miner.

djm34 uses windows branch so if you clone from this repo you won't able to compile it under Linux. Copy all of files in subfolder .deps of all algo folders from sph-sgminer_x11mod to sgminer-nist5 you should be able to compile it. But it needs 14.6 drivers. Anyone could please share his 14.6 *.bin file for 280x, 290 ? thanks. Just upload all your *.bin files in sgminer-nist5 if you got boost from djm34's version.

Mine R9 280x = http://www42.zippyshare.com/v/29187000/file.html
R9 270 = http://www48.zippyshare.com/v/49613749/file.html

Wow thanks. It was fast. Could you share your config for 280x as well? thanks so much.

Mine config is simple:
Code:
color 0F
sgminer -k nist5 -d 0,1 -o stratum+tcp://pool1 -u user -p x --failover-only -o stratum+tcp://pool2 -u user -p [email protected] -I 22
280X=12.74 Mh/s
270=7.961 Mh/s
Gpu-engine for both (280x and 270) is set on 1150 with msi afterburner.

What is the config for 280X? I have this same configuration and any GPU mine at 7,27 Mh/s with sgminer of djm34. Thanks in advance. (Sorry for my english)
