David Lotwin and Dick Wingate are new additions to AltMarket’s board. Peter Rafelson, one of AltMarket’s co-founders, is also joining.

Lotwin is one of the founders of D&D Studios, a Bronx recording studio that initially focused on freestyle and dance music. A veritable who’s who of hip-hop royalty passed through Lotwin’s studio, from KRS-One to Nas and Jay-Z.

Wingate boasts over 40 years of experience in the music and interactive industries and is the principal of DEV Advisors, an entertainment consulting firm that provides expertise to service providers, app developers, content owners and investors.

Rafelson has written and produced songs for Madonna, Jackson Brown, Stevie Nicks, Elton John and Britney Spears. His work over the years helped sell over 300 million records worldwide. Rafelson also produces and consults for various technology and media entities with his company, Rafelson Media Company. He counts Microsoft, Apple, Toshiba and Compaq among his clients.

Weren't both of those already on the old 'team' page something like half a year back at least? I know Lotwin was.

Edit: Also, isn't "board" a distinctly different thing from "advisory board"?

A person failing on a business is different because it is his business.. He can do whatever he wants with business.. But this is asking people to invest in the coin. Its a tough call for the investor and something best avoided. He can still make shitcoins tho, nothing wrong about that.. Just buyer beware

That is a fair argument, you're right, Tao is a risky investment. However, I just want people to know it's risky because its a volatile coin tied to a start up, not because he'll sneak away with a bag full of money

It's also worth noting, as I posted somewhere upthread, the terms of service on the site indicate how Bryce has divested himself of any significant stake in Tao and other currencies to avoid conflict of interest. He can't dump what he doesn't have.

OK just working with what I know.

If you want to invest in a coin, created by a person known for creating scamcoins. would you invest?

Tough call

Hmm you're right, once a person fails a business they should be blacklisted for life. That's why Reid Hoffman or Even Williams never got to make twitter/LinkedIn

Razor would've been illegal so he shut it down. Simple stuff.

Huh I'm logged into exchange.alt.market right now. Just checked. Don't know if you still need a referral code to sign up, but I had no problem doing so when I registered a couple weeks ago when it opened.

OK well I had troubles creating an account using Google Chrome, only the world's biggest web browser. Can you just post a screenshot of the markets page in there? What's actually being traded? Anything?

I'm not aware of the existence of a "license to sell cryptocurrencies." AltMarket has been registered as a MSB since 2017 if that's what you mean. You can look it up on the FinCen database here: https://www.fincen.gov/fcn/financial_institutions/msb/msbstateselector.html

AltMarket is only dealing with commodities and there is no license needed to sell commodities like Tao any more than you'd need a license to sell baseball cards or t-shirts, etc. Not so with most ICO tokens on the other hand.

What's Bryce talking about here?

https://i.imgur.com/qHBpflj.png

Sounds like he's bragging about having some special crypto trading license, which of course, he doesn't have.

Reckon they have heard of Kraken since they're partnered together retard https://altmarketotc.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

This is bullshit. There's no partnership between the two entities. Kraken wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

"AltMarket, Inc. has a professional trader and close relationships with his counterpart at Kraken's internal OTC desk." Not exactly the same thing as a partnership, retard.

Also pretty big gap to say it doesn't exist when you can't find a register button https://exchange.alt.market/auth/register?referral=97dbc9a3d7774cb3a86b9958938df2f0

Like I said earlier, registration doesn't work with Google Chrome, there's no evidence of any volume on the exchange anywhere. If I'm wrong, please feel free to prove it.

Also pretty hard to scam someone when you'd be liable for the equity you just gave them https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1736725/000173672518000001/xslFormDX01/primary_doc.xml

What the hell are you talking about? I've seen this before. Its an application for exemption for the offering of securities. It doesn't say anything about giving anyone "equity." It does, however, say that Bryce and friends are entitled to over 1/5th of all proceeds from their ICO as executive compensation.

By the way, I'm flattered that you'd make an account just to troll me.

Looks like I was wrong about the partnership, they still interact with each other for OTC deals, big difference from not touching with a 10 foot pole. Registration does work with google chrome,  I've ben able to log in. Nothing is trading until February, it;s currently just the ODB Sale and a few wallets. To verify it's not bullshit, there's the code behind the exchange in the discord, too much shit to post here.

"exemption for the offering of securities" Maybe want to continue that thought process one more step bud, it's as if they went through that filing so they can offer securities like equity. Braindead. there's already been a SAFE for Tao records that he's beholden to. If you want to see the PPM for the Altmarket equity offering it's in slack.

It's not a license that he's bragging about, as said in this thread countless times, he's gone through a documented lobbying process to verify that ODB coin will never be a security. Establishes precedent for the rest of the collectable tokens. Until other people go through the same process, they're offering securities. Sys and all the other planned coins have legal opinion letters on their commodity status.

I'm done dude. You keep ignoring my answers to your questions and now you're randomly quoting what someone else said and attributing it to me.

I tried to help you and answer your questions in good faith, but you're either too dense to grasp English or you're being completely disingenuous. I'm just going to ignore your derp from now on, OK?

Look forward to being very angry at yourself next year.

The tweet below captures the core of the AltMarket business model. It was clear to me years ago that the key to mass adoption of crypto is not the tech. The average person doesn't understand or care about it.

Celebrity is the key to crypto adoption.

The AltMarket is doing this first with ODBcoin and then more to follow. All artist tokens will be traded exclusively against Tao as base for the trading pair.  Cool

Here's video of Taylor Swift fans, who don't know much or care at all about crypto, saying they'd immediately buy some if Taylor Swift issued her own:

By the way, there is no Altmarket exchange! Its impossible to log in because you can't even create a profile. This is utter madness. Bryce is a lunatic to think he's the only person in America that is properly licensed to sell "shitcoins."

1. He has no such license from the SEC. If he does, please provide the license #.
2. Has he ever heard of a little exchange called Coinbase? Kraken? Poloniex?
3. His exchange doesn't even exist! What's he really "founded" besides a shell of a website?

What a clown.

They have exclusive contracts with the artists they represent and as such have a monopoly on sale of the icon tokens.

Any exchange that tries to list ODBcoin or any of the six scheduled for 2019, or the ones that follow, without getting permission can be sued on behalf of the artists for unlicensed use of their image and name. Just like Kanye West sued the developers of Coinye.

The exchange is purposefully defeatured during the ODBcoin crowdsale. You can only register and buy ODBcoin currently. Trading comes later.

Remember the point is not to appeal to crypto traders but to the mainstream audience of music fans, so while the exchange features are there, they are disabled to present as simple an interface as possible for regular people. As I'm pretty sure I've explained.

if ODBcoin is a "coin" than it's minable if it's not minable it's a token :\ whats confusing?

Hey man, I appreciate the reply with more info but please try to avoid name calling. He has a right to be skeptical and you'll do a much better job of convincing him if you just show the facts and be chill about it, even if he's doing some name calling himself.

Let the facts speak for themselves. He'll figure it out or he won't.
