Hi rdynamics, good question. We're still deciding some of the more technical aspects but at a high level the API is designed to provide an easy to use interface for anyone looking to build an application on top of the TWIST blockchain. We want it to enable access to methods for writing/reading data to/from the blockchain, among other features. Basically an extension of the standard JSON RPC API available in the QT wallets.

Hi BitcoinGoat, we're currently working on updating the wallets with a new chain and getting some stable nodes set-up along with a seeder node to create a more robust network. We'll be eliminating proof of work, and testing that the network runs smoothly with proof of stake before we distribute the coins for the airdrop. We'll also hopefully be providing information on bounties soon. You can check out our roadmap for the project's next stages.

Yep you can use either a generated address, or a wallet address to register for the airdrop, they are the same type of address. When the new wallets are released we will give instructions on how to import a generated address into the wallet, and also how to import an old wallet address into the new wallet.
