Coinmarketcap says Circulating Supply is 10,815,966 VTR, what is the total supply?
Those who asked for open source may have different purposes. For me, I just want to make sure the project is being actively developed before investing it. Even the last release was eight month ago.

I don't know, but the reason for that is because the developer said he doesn't want to make the torrent functionality open source because of its value and being awesome and stuff.That sounds dodgy to me. Look at all the [awesome] cryptos out there on the top 100 and ask yourself if they aren't open source.
Open source and transparency is critical in the decentralized web, especially when there's one developer working on a coin making it pretty centralized.
I think this community and all investors must push for transparency if this project is to be successful.
It has been addressed, a few months ago the devs (more than one) said that everything will be open sourced, at the right time.
Being in active development means that going open source before everything is ready is a risk that others will just copy everything and claiming it all as their ideas. There are a lot of features you will only find in vTorrent, things that others can't do, so it's worth preserving that for a short while.
But we all agree that open source is the best policy.

Keep VTR in your unlocked wallet and your computer online and you will solve approx. 1 block for every 2000 coins, everyday. Each block solved is ~1.13 VTR worth $.32 USD today. Not bad for just hodling.

not doing the trick for me, created the file etc. and when I try to add through command line it says it's already added.

I've been trying to sync for over 80 hours now, debug log shows mostly 'UPnP Port Mapping successful.' , last block time still at do okt 30 05:45:54 2014 though.
im using version v0.8.1.1-g

and get a list of other nodes to connect with from - http://vtrchains.com/network
you need to create a config file and put the IP addresses from the nodes list.
your vtorrent-HD client can be found by putting this into your windows folder explorer %appdata% inside the folder where you wallet is located, put the config file.
If you know how, you can use the in-wallet console and addnode=94.65.74.121 addnode

I wasn't always so negative, in fact quite the opposite, I was one of the top supporters and one of the top coin holders, I even convinced quite a lot of people in the cryptocopia slack to invest (for that I feel a little guilty). That's why i've turned against this project, it's all down to the way the devs promise features and fail to deliver and stay silent for months and months on end.
I sold two thirds of my coins, i'm just gonna hold 150k on the outside hope, that one day in the future the devs may actuall pull it off, as i'm not stupid and can clearly see the massive potential. It really is a gamble, i've taken OK profit from this and just gonna free ride the rest, it's either gonna be back to 600 sat or 600k sat.
If any of this yarn is even remotely true, why would you sabotage your investment by constantly trolling this thread? It makes absolutely no sense from an investment POV. Either you're a lying troll, an attention seeker, or bi-polar. Your only valid complaint -- the non-comminicative dev team -- is tenuous because they do post when there is important news or updates. It's still in deep development, for Christ's sake! They choose to focus on coding rather than marketing, because, hell, it's never been done before and may not work at all. Why on earth would you hype a product and drive up the token price when it is, as you call it, vapourware? That would be incredibly misleading and scammy. I'm certain when there's a working product released, the team will sing its praise. Until then, sit back, STFU, and let serious discussion prevail. Then maybe you might make some money from this after all.

Without the dev communicating for all we know this project has been dead for a while, latest commits are only minor fixes or some wallet addition, not much functionality has been shown ?
Making this coin a huge guess, but the potential is probably worth it.
