He's full of shit, in all my time on this project, not once has the dev given out ANY  details on releases.
Here ya go FUD guy

Nothing in that suggests VTR dev is in the "endgame territory".

Don't want to say too much, but briefly corresponded with the dev.

Have confirmed that vTorrent is in end game territory and undergoing a security auditing stage.

How did you confirm end game territory, did you see any evidence, or did vDev tell you only?

I want to believe, but I need details, you might be trying for an exit pump.

@vTorrent, can you confirm anything here?

Like I mentioned, I don't want to say much, but it was my takeaway that most of the concerns ITT are bridges that have long since been crossed Wink

Here's a super interesting project to look at (which isn't a cryptocurrency project, but rather an older BitTorrent project) which looks at incentive models to improve BitTorrent.

http://bittyrant.cs.washington.edu/

The white paper is here which discusses incentivized downloading quite a bit: http://sing.stanford.edu/cs303-sp11/papers/BitTyrant.pdf

In this instance it seems that the incentive is for people who seed more, rather than what vTorrent is proposing which would be paying for seeding.

Accumulation around 1-2 mil marketcap was obvious to anyone paying attention to the volume. Now that we've left those prices I expect, conveniently and completely by coincidence of course, some updates coming soon. Surprised some veterans around here couldn't see this for what it was.   Roll Eyes

LOL at the pumpers, for pumping on a BTC spike.

@vtorrent

myself and a couple of my friends just took pretty big positions in VTR.

this project could be banged out in a couple of months tops by a developer or a team of skilled developers; not 2 years.

to do list:
zcash for anonymity
actual bittorrent functionality

so far it looks like just a wallet for the vrt token

this is a very promising project but it needs to be finished

PM me. don't be afraid to ask for help. it's time to get this thing rolled out and finalized within the next few months, and that's when the ad buys can start for widespread adoption.

$0.30 is cheap right now all things considered, but this isn't a one man task. respectfully, 2 years have confirmed that.

this isn't vaporware, it's a looming juggernaut. let's get to work.

edit: check your email. let's get this project completed. i run with a serious crowd and we've taken interest.

I'm picking up a little moar each day. So much win  Shocked

Interesting project, should the dev come through. Even for speculative purposes i'd say this one is undervalued, if you give me 1/10th of the promised functionality it should be 10x the market cap. Just my 2 cents. Buying in right now, but not putting too much of my stack in it.

good stuff, imagine the things that would be available to download if people were actually paid for providing the content to torrent users!

I got one word to sum up this project VAPOURWARE!

Quote

This article is about a computer industry term regarding product releases. For the company, see VaporWare (company). For the musical genre, see Vaporwave.
The U.S. Justice Department accused IBM of intentionally announcing its System/360 Model 91 computer (pictured) three years early to hurt sales of its competitor's computer.

In the computer industry, vaporware (Brit. vapourware) is a product, typically computer hardware or software, that is announced to the general public but is never actually manufactured nor officially cancelled. Use of the word has broadened to include products such as automobiles.

If that is your opinion why do you bother to hang around here? Cheesy

You invest in a project for 2.5 years, that keeps failing to deliver what they say, then see how you feel.

We did get promised hard forks at 1.2m and 1.3m that delivered some real nice features.

How do you know we won't get 0.8.2 wallet at 1.4m and then 0.9.1 at 1.5m, but with ZCash zero knowledge proof transaction capabilities?
Who said we would get a wallet at block 1.4M? Dev didn't say, just rumour.

On the other hand we are way, way, overdue a new wallet. Given the devs history of failing to deliver, i'm not going to hold my breath.
