This morning I got a block after 5 days of waiting and now it has disappeared. I've also checked on https://webdollar.network/#/miner/ and it's not present.
Was I mining a fork or what?

I've also got a few blocks suddenly, out of the blue (usually I would get nothing for days), and then they disappeared. But later - surprise, surprise - they reappeared again and finally stay stayed. Didn't really understand what happened.

we minimized the full list of miners
What does it mean ?
You turned off mining for some random users in network ?

No, I mean the waitlist (list with other miners with ssl which allows to connect with light nodes)

We finished the update and now the network is stable, all opened fallbacks are sync. You can check this here: http://nodes.wd.hostero.eu/ And you can also check the blockchain explorer here: https://webdollar.network/#/
We had a transaction flood on the network and we fixed the network to avoid propagate the spam transactions. As a plus layer of security we changed the tx fee to minimum 10 Webd.

Yea they use the DDOS attack to take over the chain and inject their mined chain since itll be longer
My have to look in to DDOS protection services
as this will absolutely get worse as it goes along

Additionally it feels like you did a revert of some type.
Original issues like the power/threads slider changes on its own, drop to zero and at time hash rate just drops even though power is the same.
Additionally there is still a 20% chance that it wont connect to the network.

I am willing to set up a SSL Dedicated Node and cover the costs here in the US for this project.
Ill need some guidance to make sure I do it right . But this may help stabilize

You can check our github or you can send me a pm on telegram and I will help you with that. But the last update doesn't need more fallbacks nodes because all nodes with ssl from the network accept browser connections.

18/05/18, 8:12 - There were over 55,000 machines mining on the WebDollar blockchain. Because of an overwhelming traffic and some spam transactions too ( a couple of tx had 0.01 WEBD fee ) some of the nodes are no longer sync. They will catch up soon. No WebD amount is lost from your wallet addresses, it will just take some time for the full nodes to sync and update.

55,000 machines is a quite astonishing quantity. But then, why do I not see more dots on the network's map diplayed on the website?
Currently I'm experiencing the mining to be very unregular, it goes offline very often, and it stays there.

At this moment we minimized the full list of miners for avoid send lots of dates over the internet. We're working now to deploy a new update for avoid leak of sync, in few hours we will do a small update for this and tomorrow the big update, after this the network will work perfectly for everyone.

Because it was DDoS attack and now it's clear. There is no 55,000 machines connected to WD network at this moment.

Yes, it's true. Mining is unstable now.

I think WEBD is the latest project and follow the times. I strongly agree with the purpose of this project is to encourage the use of cryptocurrency into maenstream. Especially today must be fast-paced but also safe.

Hello! Can you give us more information about your team? Its sad that your project won't have ICO and a bounty campaign

The bounty campaign already ends. They have the bounty on the website a month ago.
You should join the telegram to get information about the new bounty.

Was it an actual attack or was someone just wanting to make a point that the current infra would not support any kind of large transaction numbers?

You can check this in blockchain explorer. This is one of their addresses https://webdollar.network/#/miner/WEBD$gAjud$KJ9+HP#9znK1RDbua2ZWnV3WwbMn$

I think if you click right mouse button on web page Webdollar.io and choose "Inspect element" you'll find those 2 code lines Wink

DEVS, where are you ?! 12+ hours of bullshit..."Synchronizing...Synchronizing...Synchronizing...Synchronizing...Synchronizing"

Yes this is the right solution.

We were codding, now the network is stable.

Hey guys..
I remember seeing somewhere the info to add the java include to your own web page so you can have an accesspoint for webdollar for your website visitors.

I know i saw it , dumb me forgot to bookmark it.  Any body know the link or where its is? Think it was one of the Devs expressing how this is done.

I want to set up a dedicated system with SSL to host a Full Node.  Now that the nodes can sync together with out going to webdollar.dns. then set up the webpage to to connect to the node.
This way we can have a local USA connection to the backbone.

Thoughts on this idea...  Dev?

For this you should make a pull request with the fallback nodes here: https://github.com/WebDollar/Node-WebDollar/commit/d58e3eb598f881c5a291b5bf9f389d4ed23cb8f1#diff-ef012d9f5dd33246981513573865427f
