Why not cooperate and share profit instead of naming a (high) btc price?

I mean, lucazane evidently can't generate hardly any traffic to his pool while ocminer's good reputation certainly would move miners from 1gh.

Althouth they do a great job, the dominance of 1gh is real bad for the network and get suprnova in would be great.

I'd be glad to pay a reasonable price for the (piece of) code, but 5 BTC is just faaaar out of scope Smiley

I've sent lucazane a PM and really hope we can work things out, I'll surely keep you informed if we can work together and give proper credits.

And as a sidenode.. I'm really interested in what I was missing when I tried to (re-) code the stratum for that..

Anyway, thanks for your trust, hope to see you soon.

Great, I'm looking forward to point my rigs toward a trusted pool, for the benifit of the xcn network  Grin

XCN on 750Ti at 5.56MH/s at lowest point; I'd put average ~5.7MH/s: https://ottrbutt.com/tmp/xcnwolf750ti13.png

Ok, nice, but djm's  open source miner is practically equal with your's, I'll send him another donation  Smiley

Any info about the stratum Implementations? Probably a few Tips are enough... Still interested in setting up a pool for this

IMO this isn't a problems of reputation, the problems are :
1gh is on the top of list in the pool.
when I started the pool, net hashrate was @ ~10-11 ghs, same now=> there is no new miner mining this coin and Miners rarely move their miners from a working pool.
the pool market share will eventually move when new miners will come.

guys, can you suggest me which nvidia cards work with cudaminer and mine XCN?
go with gtx 750ti gainward golden sample or gigabyte oc (the one's around 1200 Mhz clockrate). you get around 4700kh/s with them.

Morning all,

As a Doge miner a I appreciate how a long blockchain can get you down! so I love this idea.

I saw al lot of - frankly - screaming and shouting about a 32bit windows binary early on in this thread.

Did anything come to fruition? - If not I am willing to have  a crack at compiling it.

Google has not been my friend so far but with other coins offering a 32bit wallet (BTC espwcially) - this must be acheivable?

I see in the github repo there is a 'buildwin32' script - does that hold the key?

I'm off to do more googling!

Name change poll has been closed:

Ok I'm going to stop this poll early because I've decided what's going to happen. At this rate Cryptonite is going to win by a large margin, and a large group of people will still be unhappy. Since I now own cryptoncoin.com I offer this solution: the official shortened version of the name is now Crypton, so those people who think it's confusing to call it Cryptonite can now refer to it as Crypton or even CryptonCoin if they like. I think this is the best solution we're going to get, I can't do much more to please everyone.

I think this is a pretty fair solution!

I just don't understand the branding behind some of these crypto names. htmlcoin, really? I know it was a scam, but who really thinks that something called htmlcoin would become a widely accepted thing? Personally, I'd go with Minicoin.

Is today's price spike a result of this renaming controversy, or this?

I will release pool XCN AMD miner (for Windows x64) in 1-2 days, I've almost finished it.
Unfortunately, solo miner has some problems since this coin has a strange limitation related to block reward and coin devs don't respond about possible solutions, so I have to postpone it.

In less than 48 hours, the days of cheap and easy MiniCoins will be a thing of the past!

I think none. The rise has been happening before all the naming controversy and AMD miner was announced.
