how would the traditional brick-n-mortal companies get listed on your exchange? what will be the procedures?
What do you foresee the future of Medici? What's Medici role in this?
What are your visions?

XCP started in Jan. 2014, I think it is still in early stage. Invest early is better than late.

What if the core devs shorten the OP_RETURN again?
What if the core devs collaborate with Counterparty team to develop the sidechain?
Bitcoin collaborate with Counterparty would be a win-win decision.

Eligius has set the OP_RETURN limit to 80. Not sure about the other mines.
Besides, I remember that the devs said that even with 40 bytes OP_RETURN (possible for a simple Counterparty asset send, for instance) the transaction takes too much time to be confirmed.
I guess that consensus takes time to achieve. Medici could help them change their mind.

Robby and I just wanted to say thank you for all of your support. We are very excited to create the first cryptofinance platform, with Overstock, directly on Counterparty.
As to the details of the platform, I cannot say anything at this time, but as this project develops, we should have some great announcements.

Suggestion: Put up an "under-construction" sign until then.
Right now XCP and its ecosphere gets a lot of attention
- e.g. by me :-) Trying out how everything-counterparty works.

Many who own Overstock I would imagine would be sympathetic to what PB is trying to do. It gives me hope to see those with some status willing to fight for what they believe in.
I'm curious of what Elite opposition we will see, hes had some before (shorts)...hm... a competitive product,. or something more sinister?

Everybody, there is an enormous amount of misinformation going around in the press. We're working to fix that ASAP. In the meantime, please help us correct errors as you see them!
For the record:
1) Overstock.com and Counterparty are partnering to build a platform (Medici) for trading stocks on Counterparty and using Counterparty's decentralized exchange.
2) I, along with Ouziel (JahPowerBit), will continue working on the Counterparty protocol full-time. Robby and Evan will continue to work on Counterparty full-time because Medici is a front-end for Counterparty.
The Wired and Coindesk articles make it sound as though we are abandoning this project. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Ok, everything is very clear !
I am supposing Patrick Byrne couldn't really tell shareholders than Overstock will directly support something with millions they won't own and pay devs with huge income who are in fact working full-time for an open-source project.
He has no choice (at the moment) to say they are pioneering alone a stock exchange, even if the reality is just a business with fees like banks, as Patrick Byrne said, and a front-end which is already almost done and which will be directly benefit Counterparty.
What do you think ?
