This is incredible. Can any of the Counterparty Protocol Developers comment on this great development?

It sounds like a good thing but since Counterparty is functional with 40 bytes, what does the extra space do for us?

Hello what happened in counterwallet?
please fix the problem

failoverAPI: Call failed (failed over across all servers). Method: get_normalized_balances; Last error: JSON-RPC Error:
Type: Server error

Code: -32000

Message: Got call_jsonrpc_api request error: timed out

There are conversations going on about this in the slack and the skype chat. It appears it has to do with the massive amount of BTC transactions today and the recent BTC update. Possible solution is raising the miner fees, i am just getting back into the office so i am still collecting the information from the day and will share it here

Still have this problem in counterwallet. Transactions are not performed. Is there any solution ?

the patched bitcoind we use

Is a bitcoind patch required to run counterpartyd?

Yes, the "addrindex" patch, that adds a "searchrawtransactions" call that counterparty-server requires for certain functionality.

Please inform what will be the total number of XCPCARD issued. The asset is not locked yet and so far 1000 of these XCPCARDs have been issued. I think locking the asset would help in assuring people this will actually be a valuable asset to hold. Also, Countewallet is down again with server errors. So I hope you will have the Tokenly Swapbot ready soon for XCPCARD sales!

@heunland thanks for your support Smiley

The latest update is that, yes, this indeed appears to be related to the recent jump in unconfirmed (spammy) txes. Basically, once the mempool size reaches somewhere over 10,000 entries, the patched bitcoind we use starts to experience responsiveness issues with a specific API call, which causes counterwallet to fail to respond to user actions. We made some good headway here yesterday, and may have this issue fully resolved today. For more info on status, please see the following two issue reports:
