I really think that this thread should be locked and abandoned.
It is completely useless now, I cant find any valuable piece of info here.
New board is needed! First post should contain the most basic information, it should be moderated by an active dev. member (Byte16?). It is new project after all, right?
Now its all very spamy and unorganized, placing new blocks under "not so bright" light.
Not a radical step but IMO, necessary.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you on this, I think this thread is doing pretty well, have you seen this thread before?? I'ts full of spam posts about the faucet, 3-4 pages are filled with rants about the faucets, but now this thread is filled with posts about the development of the project and conversations on how to improve this project. Have you backread though? If you did, then you'll find the recent newsletter and that contains a lot of valuable information about the project. By the way this isn't a new project at all, it's been around since February, the only thing that's new here is the roadmap and that's about it so I don't think it's necessary to create a new thread.
I full agree with you friend!

How long ICO will run dev?
What kind of ICO? No ICO was and will not be. The distribution of the coin was only through CAPTCHA. For today the whole distribution is terminated. You can get a coin only by buying it on the exchange.

I was very excited to learn today that the community coin idea was dropped in favor of supporting raiblocks. Looking forward to a great future from here on  Smiley

This is such a good news! I'm so happy to read this, but why the sudden change of idea though? What happens to the XCM project? Why did they decided to just dropped the whole idea? Do they have new plans coming?. I read on twitter that the previous devs still have a faucet distribution in mind, was that not for XCM?

They said "fork would cause strong confusion between the community at a social and economic level"
That's why they drop XCM

As for the next faucet, they gonna distribute it by their private fund, not from the genesis.
And of course the claim rewards are not the same as before.

Keep in mind the faucet is not official from raiblocks.
it same as 3rd party service, just like bitcoin faucet etc
it's unofficial because xrb distribution has been completed.  Wink

Yes, you are 100% right man!

I will also agree with the few people that have mentioned it.  More promotion and an addition to a larger exchange can only help.

Finally another exchange taking in xrb. That is a very good news. Checked the price at bitgrail and it did rose up. Keep up the good job devs.

Personally before I honestly thought that being added to bitflip was a really good move from the devs but now that xrb is being traded on there, I'm having second thoughts, now the price is back to 1k+ and I just notice that the trading volume in bitflip is really low and this is not helping the price of xrb at all. I also notice that the buy order is super low compared to other exchanges. If we continue with this trend then xrb will go nowhere. I just hope by december we'll be added on a much bigger exchange cause if we'll just get stuck in smaller exchanges then this project will not move forward at all.
Another problem is the waning interest in XRB. The trading volume is still low. We need something to boost it up, create some noise to get people's attention to invest on it again.

The trading volume is low because we're not being added on big exchanges, I feel like if we'll get added to a much bigger exchange then that will be enough noise to attract a bigger market. But I see your point here, right now xrb also needs a lot of promotion, to make a bigger impact to the cryptoworld. Ever since the faucet distribution, we are not being taken seriously anymore. We need to make people see how great this project is and how big is its potential. With the marketing I'm not quite bothered with that because I trust jaycox and I know he will do a good job promoting and keeping xrb interesting but with the one responsible with the exchanges I'm quite bothered, the team needs to step up their game, we need to get into a bigger market to attract more people especially investors.

I agree with you
xrb needs promotion to get to attract more people

just like Thirdspace says in post # 8512
no real use ... no demands ... no where to go (dies slowly)
