If you are looking for something long term this is not it. There are literally 50 other coins making the same developments as this one.
Yes, there are 50 other coins out there but chance is you can't even spell most of them or these coins have any relevant to there name or use.
PlanktonCoin, VootCoin(owl?), UroCoin, KeyCoin(use for key chain?), FractalCoin... on and on... most are just nonsense craps and still have better price than Stealtcoin. Just weird to me.
I don't think the spelling of a coin is as relevant as the functionality of a coin. I do find it odd that a coin with TOR is doing far worse than some coins that have nothing special to offer. I think overall, the early investors don't have trust in this team. If you check out some of the other anon coins, like Cloakcoin, there's more of a professional feel to it compared to XST. XST should have implemented all of the anon features before releasing the coin...spent some bucks to get a nice website...and then I think it would have made a bigger splash. I think it was relying to much on hype...which didn't work.
The reason why this coin is loosing too coins that haven't even added Tor yet is because these other coins are promoted and advertised a lot more. Also, the developer teams have their own public relations (PR) person or they themselves take on that role in addition to developing the coin.
Crypto is a war of public perceptions! Stealthcoin and Darkcoin are both some of the best names you could have for a privacy oriented crypto currency. The reason why Darkcoin is winning, is because it has been advertised and promoted so much that everyone knows about it. If we do the same for Stealthcoin, the price could rise up to Darkcoin's price levels!
What I'm looking for is the following:1. PR guy/gal or developers interacting with the community each day of the week.
2. Promotion and advertising. Think reddit, Stealthcoin subreddit, Bitcointalk, twitter, major altcoin people, etc...
3. Hype creation with professionalism from the developers to back it up.
4. Making the coin as appealing as possible to larger investors.
5. Increasing the community size continuously for growth, promotion by word of mouth, etc...
6. This last one is completely optional, but many coins who had the developer reveal his identity increased greatly in value because the developer couldn't just run away with people's money or scam people.
Give us more development updates:1. Even if nothing new has happen, we like to know you didn't die, end up in the hospital, abandon the coin, etc... A simple, "we are still working on this" is good enough for short developer bits of information in addition to other information.
2. Don't just tell us your hopes and dreams for the coin. Tell us what can be accomplished now in a reasonable amount of time.
3. Plan the development thoroughly but be ready for unforeseen roadblocks. Keep something new like a feature, contest, etc... in your developer test wallets for a rainy day to please the community and keep the value up.
4. More than one dev talking is always good.
5. Show us how active you are. Investors want active developers!
6. We can never have enough transparency!
