2.5 MHashes? Are you using Deep Blue supercomputer?

2500K is an Intel i5 CPU.

Same, don't know what people are complaining about - mining fine for me.

Obviously it's getting a lot harder (decreasing rewards, increased time between blocks) to mine, but that's usual when all the people are jumping on.

It's nice to start a coin from CPU again, soon there will be a GPU miner fork which will work, and pools etc will be set up.

Now all we need is a useful coin for nvidia cards too and the cryptos be set for life growth.

If you want this coin I'll just fork solidcoin2 and use their hash algorithm, as it runs similar on nVidia as compared to AMD GPUs.  But it's had no cryptanalysis so it's possible the implementation is just poor and someone will figure out a faster AMD implementation eventually.

Pocopoco didn't premine, he mined along with a modified cgminer, tested on testnet before launch.

Think about it... It isn't that crazy...

I guess someone (multiple people) figured out how to copypasta from scrypt-jane into the cgminer scrypt kernel with a few tweaks and mine with cgminer.

You do have to make cgminer verify the hash after by also altering scrypt.c, too.

Well at the least this experiment shows there is interest in a coin that attempts to even the playing field by being CPU only (even if in this case it's failed). I do think though that even a CPU only coin would still drive an arms race if it became sucessful

This absolutely shows there is a space there for a CPU only coin, however one of the essential parts is missing, the whole CPU actually mining it lol.

Up until an hour ago I was getting a lot of orphans. Now I get nothing. I miss my orphans  Grin

Still getting blocks here... looks like 7-12 per hour and a half or so on these Xeons?

Seems like a lot! I don't have a good connections (socks proxy) but that shouldn't stop me from getting orphans. What hash does QT report for your servers? Are you talking about one or mulitple? (7-12 per hour)

Using yacoind I compiled myself on ubuntu linux. No proxy.

7-12 blocks per hour on each server. I have a few running it.

The QT client really sucks balls. I don't get jack on it running on this i7. yacoind under linux is the way to go.

Also, the fact your running the fastest consumer CPU's on the planet, doesn't hurt either... Grin

Account hacked from Oct 11th to Nov 1st 2017
It suddenly stopped syncing the blockchan and now it's out of sync and getting a growing number of blocks remaining... what happened?

How can I force sync from the console?

I have 29 peers connected and port forwarded in router.

You guys give up too soon. One guy did the math and determined that you have a good chance of not getting a solo-mined block of BTC in your lifetime, with Yacoin you're very likely to get one within 10-12 years. Try and be a little patient.
