I am a bit surprised because I did not know that Romania had such a need at all. I guess the government is just trying to get peoples attention with the price and the lottery, what I am not so sure is that this is the right kind of attention. People that are not taking the vaccine are not going to be persuaded just by a price, since they normally think their life is at risk. I guess it is just a marketing op.
It seems like that, and I think this marketing will have an impact with increasing interest from the community, especially at this time. and maybe it will be successful.
not without reason because nowadays there are so many problems that result from viruses and vaccines, and even many people who openly reject this even if only a small part but at least it creates a new turmoil.
in this way it might be hoped that people will be more interested and I think at least with what romania is doing it will add a little bit of interest in the community especially in vaccines

You talking normally about how exorbitant the prices are for healthcare in the US makes me so sad because they really make it a business and not a hospital that cares indiscriminately. Well, the amount is relative, in your country it's bigger since there's a rate of exchange between dollar and your currency but in there, it's probably not a lot of money.

I think that this kind of thing or event in the end is not so good, why? I am one of those who think that something so good is not given much, then, a government program, where they encourage through a raffle or contest, among the vaccinated people, I don't know, it sounds more and more like something suspicious to me, that "concern" to preserve Non-Propagation, something about "taking care of ourselves", I am very suspicious, and I think that everything that comes from governments is not something that is 100% good.

They are using the benefits of the game to attract more people and make them participate with these types of events, and then the system contradicts itself, well of course I agree with you that the medical system in the USA is very expensive, and that all those facilities now, doesn't it turn out to be something strange?

that's next level game theory
since people are more worried about money than about their health you simply give them a monetary incentive to take the vax

it would totally work in Brazil, but maybe the politicians here are just too greedy to implement it

It's quite sad that people are getting lured into getting the vaccine with monetary prizes. It's also crazy to think that in the age where information and data can easily be accessible, there are still lots of people not believing in the science of vaccination, that there still needs to be some sort of catalyst for them to consider getting the shot. Good for Romania if their population actually signed up for the lottery and take the vaccination. Almost all of the will surely not win the lottery, but at the least they will inoculate a good portion of the population to protect them from further COVID case spikes.

It seems a interesting news. The people from Romania was a lucky people.Because it was good initiative. No government of any country take the initiative like this. It's good move from them. By this people will vaccination for sure.Atleast for the lottery, the people do vaccination. So all the country in the world, should take this as example and do some good move for vaccination.
No, I don't agree. There must be a better plan than just letting people decide how lucky they are joining a lottery for vaccination.
Yes, it's a win win situation but there will always be the pessimistic guy just like me who have never won a lottery in my entire existence. It's a very low chance to win it so why the hell should I pursue to be vaccinated just for one ticket out of millions or worse, billions.
It might look good for those who are relying to this kind of gamble but for an average Joe with an average income it won't bite.
I wont consider out that its a win-win decision because knowing the odds of winning then i wont really be consider it to be an advantage and also with vaccine i dont consider it to be a win yet we know the risk
and efficacy isnt 100% so i cant really say that those things are considerable.

Well, this is a good opportunity for those who are interested but i dont see that it would really be that a worthy thing for you to exchange up your health just for a lottery chance. For sure other people
would really be having this kind of impression.

As practice shows, lotteries conducted to increase the level of vaccination of the population work much better than clinical trial reports, scientific articles and propaganda conducted by the authorities. And this practice is carried out in many countries, for example in my country in one of the regions raffled off apartments. In my opinion this shows that most people do not have sufficient income and decide to be vaccinated only because of the opportunity to improve their standard of living.

Finally, another country, namely Romania, launched a Vaccination Lottery for the public. It is hoped that this will encourage people to participate in the Romanian government's vaccination program. The amount provided by the Romanian government is RON15,000,000 ($3.5m).

This is good news for people and this lottery also aims to encourage vaccination and each participant will have four chances of winning. In addition, the government also agreed to make regulations for people who are eligible to be vaccinated to receive a meal voucher worth RON100.

It seems that the Vaccination Lottery program can attract people to register so that the government's target in reducing the number of people infected with Covid-19 can succeed. Maybe after this, there will be other countries that will follow. What do you think about the launch of this Vaccination Lottery? Can it attract the other countries to follow what USA and Romania did? Is that be a good way to attract attention from people to have vaccination because that teach them to use lottery to make money which we know that lottery is part of gambling.

The government can use many methods to convince its people to be vaccinated. A lottery, discount, or coupon is something that their people need to survive this pandemic. If you live in a country that uses that method to give incentives to its people, you are lucky because you can get something for free. But today, vaccinated will be a precondition to access or go to the public place, limiting people access in their city if they are not yet vaccinated.
I know that's going to be the thing eventually, it becomes the normal thing but I might as well enjoy the benefits of getting discounts because I'm vaccinated.
That is the benefits of people who wanted to Join the government in their goals, all the advantage will come your way like discounts or even extra funds who some country is giving like in my country .
when we have already received at least 600$ for the affected of the lockdown and also tons of foods for the span of almost 2 years now.
thanks to the government and they never let people down in this Fight for life.
I think the government will not stop helping people, especially in this pandemic as they want to see their people can still survive and know that the government concern with them. Maybe people need to realize that that help will benefit them, at least for their family, because every person's condition will not be the same. Maybe people think that the vaccine can not fully work to prevent the virus but at least that can help them build a new antibody for their body to prevent the mutation of the virus.

Given the huge number of side effects from this vaccine, plus the fact that these vaccines have not yet stood the test of time and the full cycle of safety checks, this lottery looks immoral to me. This is a risky decision and I don't think there should be any incentives like gingerbread. And I don't like the idea of wasting taxpayers' money on such nonsense.
Side effect is normal after you take a jab since it means that your body is reacting to the vaccine given to your body, also below are the following test they made before they conclude that the existing approve vaccines are really effective.

Grin What do you think about such side effects as death? Is this normal or not? Of course, you can find an explanation for each case like "allergic reaction", etc. but the fact remains - before the vaccine, the person was alive and then died. In addition, there are many cases of side effects that are less tragic but also serious, but you answered as if we were talking about the standard "increased temperature for a couple of days."

Those people who do not trust the government are not the target audience for such actions. They are trying to lure those who are hesitant or just lazy to get vaccinated. Based on the example of my country, I can say that the effect of such actions is about zero, and maybe even negative - all people understand that free cheese is only in a mousetrap.
A little carrot and stick method won't hurt, I mean if it does the job, we have no questions about it right and I think that it's effective since it's making people encouraged to get vaccinated and given how a lot of people loves lottery, who would refuse a free ticket just for some doses.

if im correct ,
there are countries before the u.s that conducts the same contest and after them other countries are now following so yes this can attract more countries of doing the same because its kinda effective for people to get vaccinated .
this doesnt involved money and the prize are exciting and after doing this ,
they may not become an addict gambler so its fine dont worry .
I believe that it is a state in US that first  brings this Lottery Promo for those who have been vaccinated to let have a chance to win .
and there are another countries that follows before this Romania .
but lets look only in the bright side and that is the concern of the government for their people to keep safe and the death toll stops from there.

This is a good strategy to reduce the chances of people been infected with the disease, with the lottery and food voucher as side attraction many will willingly get vaccinated and some will decide to try their luck with the vaccination lottery which will be an avenue to get them vaccinated. This is a smart approach to capture both the willing and stubborn citizens
If we were to decide? we wanted all the people around the world to be vaccinated so this Infection will totally gone and the world will finally goes back to the normal living we have 2 years ago.

But of course people has their own views and beliefs in every matter , and this will give different decisions in such .

Hope this will help Romania to spread the idea of vaccination and will bring them safety living .

Making a raffle or lottery and or any prize for vaccination I don't think it looks good although indeed, it will have a good impact on public awareness about the importance of vaccination. But apart from that, actually I still often find that viruses, pandemics and even vaccinations for some people out there think that it's just a game, and I can't accept that. That way, when there is a prize or lottery given for vaccination it reflects like a form of bribe that doesn't look good, because if people realize how important vaccination is then at least they will move on their own to get vaccinated and not because of the chance to get the lottery because then state spending will get bigger and can have a bad impact as well.
Vaccines are not 100% effective in terms of not getting infected, but it can give you enough strength to fight the virus and its very rare for you to have a severe case.

This is not a bride but a way to encourage more people, though this may be not look good but the government have no more choice since they can't really force everyone to get the vaccine, they are now playing with the emotion of people which I think is fine as long as its purpose is for the protection of everyone.

Well, we all have belief and lucky to those who will win on this lottery he will be safe with a lots of money for sure.

As long as there is no cure for the corona virus, the best way is through vaccination, it is true that there is no guarantee that it will be 100% effective.
But people who have been vaccinated are less likely to catch the virus than people who have not been vaccinated. The problem is that there are
still many people who still think vaccines have dangerous side effects and they are looking for it to be safe not to be vaccinated. And
the government cannot force the entire population to vaccinate, so it needs a solution other than providing education. One of them is by offering
lottery tickets, because sometimes people are more easily influenced if they offer a certain amount of money. Then from several articles that I read,
it is indeed quite effective in increasing the number of people who want to be vaccinated, for countries that have made lottery offers for those who
want to receive vaccines. Then there may be a negative impact that arises, but as long as it has a greater benefit why not do it.

We can't deny that if there were incentives, very obvious ones, that were given to people when they are vaccinated, a lot more would be vaccinated now. However, the mindset of people is pretty much how "If it doesn't affect me, it doesn't exist" kind of thing, hence the current situation we have. Tbh, if bribery was the way for people to actually get vaccinated? I'd push for it, just because the current system we have right now shouldn't last any longer than it already has. It has pretty much produced permanent damage and would take a long time for it to be fixed/healed, and if people don't actively try to return it to what it was, then I might as well bribe them with obvious benefits.
