Has anyone run two C1's on a single syscool cooling setup? One pump One Radiator?

I've seen others run one pump 2 radiators, so potentially you could. I wouldn't recommend it though.

I want to know if anyone installed multiple C1 in series. For example, if you have 2 C1:

pump#1 > miner#1 > radiator#1 > pump#2 > miner#2 > radiator#2 > pump#1 > ...

I'm looking for redundancy if 1 pump die the miner can still run. Also, I'm looking to use a larger radiator for multiple miners and I want to know if it's a good idea to run them in series. In the end, I want to do something like this:
pump#1 > miner#1 > pump#2 > miner#2 > badAssRadiator > pump#1 > ...

I know miner#2 will run hotter than miner#1 but in average they should run at the same temperature than having them run side by side with a splitter.

Its not a good idea to run two pumps in series, especially when one has failed. There is a larger syscooling kit designed for 4x C1s, designated as C2.

I'm new to mining here.. but recently pick up 25 UNIT of AntMiner C1.. I was having major temperature issue due to where i live so i have modified a different way of keeping the system cool without the x3 fan and radiator by using a cooling freeze method.. had to rip up a old fridge and did a little DYI cooling tank..

I tested on 5 AntMiner C1 at the moment..

http://postimg.org/image/k0igp7pkf/

Currently keeping it at 30-35 temperature as you see the image below...

I can go lower than that.. but i'm not sure if it will be too cold for the AntMiner C1.. and i have little understanding of how this BitCoin Mining works.. I tried asked a good friend of mine but i guess he became selfish. I read some where the lower the temperature i can get the better the mining? In speed or more bitcoins? which i'm still lost what i should see to know i'm doing better.

If anyone could share a link to better understanding how this bitcoin thing run i might be able to improve a better system.

Did you look through this thread?  I remember seeing pics of a setup with I believe 8 C1's, think it was in this thread.

I would like to see that. I Did not remember seeing this. But I'm only active in this thread since December.

i just got my c1 today with included water cooling, i used some blood red chillblast with A little water as the large bottle was not enough. what i am concerned with is it keeps turning off as to high temperatures 80 degrees + when it says it should only be hitting like 50. when i touch the radiator, psu, and c1 exteriors they are definitely not warm to the touch in any way. ANy help would be appreciated!

Take a picture of your installation and post it here. We will investigate.

Are you sure that your pump is running? What do you see in http://192.168.1.99/cgi-bin/minerStatus.cgi before the miner shutdown?

Does not sound like the coolant is circulating.  Are your tubes set up correctly?

I know they made one kit with a huge radiator that was sold for multiple units.    Don't think I have seen anyone take pictures of using it.

Clips made of cheap steel is the source of the rust.

after some repairing from my broken C1 i finally fixed it. it now runs STEADY on 1045 GH/S

What mods to original did you do may I ask?

replaced the cooling block and all other cooling, which was totally destroyed from shipping (they shipped my C1 with water in the block which had made t he whole unit to Rust on the way to me so the miner was all wet with brown rust water everywhere.
so i basically only replaced the cooling

Not to sound rude but this statement cant be correct. Aluminum doesnt rust and the cooling kit and water blocks used are all aluminum not copper and aluminum mixed so there cant be any rust because aluminum corrodes not rusts and since the rads and blocks r aluminum they dont have that reaction that copper blocks have when using an aluminum radiator or the other way around so can u take some pics of what you mentioned cause im really wonderin wth ur talkin about lol.

If it is blocked up with rust then u could have easily taken some cheap clr from home depot and pumped it through the block but again aluminum doesnt rust lol. If it did everyones polished aluminum trim on some model cars would turn to orangish brownish pieces within a few days of being outside since the aluminum trim isnt coated like plastic and steel is with crome to prevent oxidation or whatever.

If u replaced the blocks wanna sell me the old ones Wink??

I found an old picture
This is AFTER i cleaned the rust. when i finally got my water pump the Cooling blocks were leaking water on all the Connections and even at one of the corner of the block (on the front )

My screws had some rust on them when I got my C1 and saw there was a little fluid still left.  I don't think he meant the cooling system itself.

At the moment I have only 1 c1 so i don't need to think about this too much, but they do make these,

http://www.syscooling.com/products/water_cooling_kits_for_Avalon_II_BTC_mine/2014/1211/635.html

you can compare it to the standard supply

http://www.syscooling.com/products/water_cooling_kits_for_Avalon_II_BTC_mine/2014/1212/637.html

In the end it's all about you local conditions on whether a single rig setup can handle 2 C1's if they are in a nice cold room and you rad's are getting nice cold air going through them possibly. Otherwise you will just run you C1's too hot and shorten their life.

You can also see that the pump in the multi rig kit is a by the looks of it 750 lph compared to 450 lph and over twice the head. Things are never as easy as it seems.

Cheers

I wanted to order that myself, but when I saw shipping was more than the unit its self I decided to go with separate components.

Has anyone run two C1's on a single syscool cooling setup? One pump One Radiator?

I don't think it'll work unless you're stating with an upgraded pump and radiator and not the one that comes with the system (my one C1 now gets pretty hot now by its self and remember you're not supposed to go much over 50 in water cooling as the acrylic and plastics will start losing shape at around 60 from what I've read).  I'm going to be trying to do a 2 or 3 C1 system shortly, but I've ordered a different pump and two 420 x 140 x 80 mm radiators.  I'm going to see if that's enough to cool 2 C1's and then try to add a 3rd if it's low enough with the 2.  Set up will be C1 - Radiator - C1 -Radiator (C1 if possible) reservoir/pump.  My since C1 now runs about 770watts at the power supply, but sometimes climes up to 860 for some reason.  A 1600 watt power supply should handle the 2 at 770watts (pushing it though), but not at 1720 watts, but if I add the third C1 then two 1600w power supplies should be fine.

Take any photos of the rip down and repair?  Particularly the quality of thermal paste application.

i never took any photos durning repair Sad i can get some of the new fix later Smiley
